I’ve spent a grand total of 90 min listening to it thus far… F’ing work, kids, and my wife keep getting in the way of music.
To be honest I’m not that impressed with the product and was expecting more. It’s built well… I like the functionality and form factor as well as an AIO solution. If you could get it used for say ~$850 it would be a solid option.
To be fair I have not rolled Op-Amps yet (still searching for the process), I haven’t tried it as a pre-amp to my active speakers, and I haven’t tested just the dac function by running it through another amp to A->B. I’m also frustrated that there aren’t any analog inputs to run my phono into.
So really at this point I’d give it a B- but it’s not even a half baked take.
I’ll share a photo of my speaker set up when I get home later, but there’s definitely some work to be done there, still figuring out speaker stands and furniture placement.
you sitting across from the speakers or on the sofa ? Hidden sub and crates are tremendous and gave me an idea for my room. 2 crates stacked and some little house plants/fake family pictures . The plan was to DYI stands using 4x4 but now thinking, build those for the HT and use crates for the livingroom. The internet always has an answer.
There are a couple chairs across from the couch for the best sound, but the middle of the couch has the weirdest effect ever. I’m new to the descriptors used around here, but I would say it feels like you’re “in” the soundstage when you’re on the couch! It’s like wearing headphones. Feels like the band is behind/around you.
Im going to have to try that. Im curious to know if whats outside that window is a lawn and the street or some crazy view. Ill leave that a mystery like the identity of the mighty zeos. Clean setup . Hope im around long enough to replace a bay window with the new see-thru OLEDs LG came out with. Things are going to get nutty moving forward.
