First of all, damn that setup is awesome. Secondly, what speakers / components are those? I think I recognize an SVS sub and a Pass amp, but I’m probably mistaken. Very curious as to the chain / speakers.

It would have taken me 3 years to achieve a finish that was half as nice. Actually bought these as a last sample piece direct from Philharmonic Audio. They have what they have and only do them in sporadic batches. There’s a place that sells them for more $ basically depending on the finish. But the DIY is nice, it’s just that a mere mortal would never get a quality finish.
For sound alone though, DIY is certainly cheaper.

How would you compare the BMR’s to your Zu’s? I’ve been interested in both recently, those Salk finishes are insane.
I’ve been thinking about that lately. A V8 Mustang versus VW Golf R?
They’re different and if I had to keep one it would be the BMR, simply because their staging and imaging. The Zu’s are just impactful and fun but just not as refined. For the time being I’ve been switching them back and forth every couple of weeks.

Starting to get stuff setup. Still awaiting preamp/dac and speakers. My fireplace is not level at all so getting everything centered and level took forever. PC isn’t level yet. And the amp weighs over 70lbs so that was fun.
