When I think of a man cave, this is what I think of. Big windows. Some plants. High contrasting colors (love the yellow rug!), and some earth-tone furniture. Just wow. Oh, and some Sauconys
That chair looks so very comfortable, someday I may actually purchase some furniture instead of just grabbing random pieces from whereverā¦Priorities babyš
Iām all about my mobile setups and this one is my ghetto end game for a close to no compromise mobile rig.
Power bank - > fiio bta30 - > ifi micro bl
The micro bl wonāt run on battery power anymore making the power bank a neccesity if I want to take this silly setup with me on the road.
The micro bl is my preferred dac amp for my campfire cascades and gold planar gl2000. They donāt sound as good in my other setups. Makes them both sing with bass and 3d effects switched on.
Ray Eames remarked in a letter to Charles that the chair looked ācomfortable and un-designyā. Charlesās vision was for a chair with āthe warm, receptive look of a well-used first basemanās mitt.ā
Thanks for the comments on the chair guys. Iāve actually been sitting my ass on that chair for nearly 20 years. I will say that when I bought it back in the day it was still actually affordable to the upper middle income white collar crowd. Today with the resurgence in popularity of mid-century furniture. Well, Iād get a lump in my throat and weak in the knees if I had to shell out todayās pricing for it. I will say it is a TOTL chair and it ages beautifully.
Their cs at ifi wasnāt bad actually. I did contact them for a battery replacement but they reset the pcb board and battery connectors and sent it back to me free of charge without a new battery. I think I was one of the unlucky ones to get a lemon or one that developed into a broken product. (Bought off eBay for 300 but got a 200 refund when it wouldnt operate off battery power) The device wonāt charge the battery and it seems all ifi can do is get it functional aside from selling me a brand new unit or so I assume. I think it might be a pcb board issue.
