Yah. Just a few days ago. Came up mega cheap so I jumped.
Its does exactly what it says on the box. My only 2 complaints are I wish the wifi was more stable while moving around (never had an issue with it while stationary), and I wish I could use usb input without taking the 2go off. Other than that, being overpriced asside, it does exactly what it says on the box. Using it as a dnla server for roon on my desktop is kind cool too tbh.
I struggled for hours trying to get the Poly to work. I had read they improved the process a bit with the 2go, but I think that was a Darko video and Iām pretty sure he had said the Poly setup was fairly painless so I wasnāt sure if that was truly the case. Things may change by the time Iām ready to pull the trigger, but Iām a Chord fan and Iāve been eying that setup for a while
Honestly man, its just not worth the money imo. Yes, micro detail is a dash better on it, but sp1k + amp is easier to use, the same (if not better) functionality (including being an dnla server), about equal on wifi tenacity, and handles planars better. Unless you desperately need to be able to move it about a lot, just get a non-portable solution.
All that said, Iām not the largest fan of the chord sound. If you want good portable and love chord sound its quote litteraly your only option
does IEMās really scale? that is some pretty nice gear
I mean, depends on the iem realy, but yah they do. Iām still playing with VX, but presentation makes a fairly large difference to the size and tonaly density of mest. No real noticable difference in resolution between the 3 on mest (there 100% is on overears, and im still paying with vx), but flavor is at least fairly clear.

I just realized that I never posted pics of the final product with the A90 and Raspberry Pi4 running RoPieeeXL (Roon - Qobuz - Tidal) and Spotify if I want. Especially if and when Spotify goes CD quality.
And of course, the little system I set up in the bedroom for my girlfriend, including the old and original MrSpeakers (Dan Clark) Mad Dogās.
Endgame is approaching but not quite there yet. Pretty dang happy with this setup though and I can take it anywhere. I think Iāll be here for a while.
Chord Mojo ā Hyla Sarda
Hawks, Argonās and Auteur !! Nice choicesā¦ Too bad you donāt like bass!! LOL!!
Oh, forgot to include the elegiaās in this pic. Will take another one with them once I add my Vantoo t0ās. Oh definitely hate bass, itās not like Iāve been eyeing the cascades or anything lol (or another biodynamic, idk).
aaahhh choices !! NOICE!!!
Iām looking around for bass headphones, myself. Any recommendations under $350?
Sivga Phoenix?
Iād highly recommend the argon mk3 with the zmf oval protein leather pads if you can get your hands on them (currently sold out on modhouse, but saw 4 listings on ebay). I think the balanced version costs around 330 new. Only downside to argons though is their need of a dumptruck of power to really get them going (had to use them on high gain on my jds labs atom to really drive them, so I never used them portable because of that) but man is the bass fun on the argons. Maybe the t20rp with better pads would be another option, but havenāt owned a pair myself and they would have the same thirst for power lol. If you wanna go really cheap the monoprice modern retro has a lot of bass without sounding completely terrible and it only costs 25 bucks, though Iād highly recommend putting some brainwavz xl sheepskin pads on those phones. If you like deep bass then a good biodynamic headphone will do that (X00 Purpleheart, X00 Ebony, and emu teak) but those are gonna cost more with the emu (new) starting at 480 after S&H and ebay listings of used X00 PH starting at 450. Anyways, argons are my top pick at your price point. But if youāre willing to save a bit more then try to get either the X00 ebony or the X00 purpleheart. And if you donāt wanna get used then spend a bit more than the X00ās and get the emu teak. Hope this helps and happy listening!
Thanks for the detailed reply. I have an Asgard 3 so I think i should be good on power. Iāll look at these other headphones you mentioned but it looks like the Argons might be what I go with. Iām always wary about buying from ebay, so if I do go with Argons, Iāll try to get a new one from Modhouse.
I think I just saw on their site that the lead time for the Argonās is 20 weeks. LOL! Oh well, I will look for something else. I donāt mess around with EBay.
Well, I decided to swap out DACās today.
And no, those are NOT scratches or marks on the Bifrost 2. Thatās just the way the light is hitting the grain in the aluminumā¦
Andā¦
Already switched the DACās back to their original spots.
Even though I had the M400 connected in the main system, I never gave it a listen since the headphone rig was the main concern at the time. Though the Topping A90/Schiit Bifrost 2 stack looks amazing, this combo did not sound amazing. Quite the opposite actually! A complete shocker to me!
With the Bifrost, bass got a little stronger, but also a bit muddled. Vocals, whether male or female, as well as any kind of midrange instruments took on an overbearing shouty, etchy trait. Treble wasnāt too terribly bad except for the fact that it had a slight gritty sound to it. Not a pleasant experience, and not one that I was expecting at all from the Bifrost 2.
Back in the main system, the Bifrost 2 sounds excellent again with the sound that I love, and the sound that shines through the speakers and subs flawlessly.
No, I never listened to the M400 in the main system, so what I donāt know wonāt hurt me. All I know is that the M400 sounds excellent in the headphone rig and the synergy with the A90 amp and my Sundaraās are perfect.
