This is what happened to my EJ07M. Sent it in and requested retune to KL +1.5DB bass while they fixed it!

You probably wonât notice a 1.5 db a 3 db yes remember KL tuning has a lower bass shelf than the M.
Yeah, mostly added it cause Iâm hoping it adds a little weight to the mids.
I had KL before I had EJ07M and missed KL

Gottaâ say that, despite the Kinda Lava debacle, I fall into the Super Review/Gizaudio camp in really rating the final release version, although I feel for HBB in that his vision for the product wasnât truly realised.
HOWEVER, my left unit has developed an imbalance which I canât EQ in the lower sub bass frequencies (~30 and under) and Iâm surprised I even picked up on it. I probably wonât bother returning for repair due to the current situation in China, the fact that those frequencies are generally not relative in songs anyway and I was looking into a few other sets. Just have to hope it doesnât get worseâŠ

I gave my unit another listen. The issue is more prominent this time - whenever I nod my head tiny bit, the sound from the left side changes drastically, distorted sound. Listened to the frequency sweep, and only around 150-2k was affected. Surely the BA is broken. Unfortunatly my iec711 coupler is still in transit, I really want to see how it is measured on the frequency graph.

Last week, I put the iem in a bag of desiccant for couple days, and noticed the issue was resolved.
I received the coupler today, did the measurementâŠwell, 
moisture could be the culprit⊠(I donât want to admit that was my hearing problem 
)

Please let us know how that tuning works out. Mine are on the way in, still not sure what to do with the sound, it is lacking some bass and some treble of the KL. There is a separate warranty issue, actually thinking of putting the drivers into the metal shell.

Thank you someone stole my dogs medicine the other day too so now I have to take a day off when I know something about to get delivered I have a Topping A90D and a Geshelli J2 on the way so I am on full allert.
What happened to asking for signature signings? Too busy I guess.

But how do you know if your iem neeed retuned?
For me I wanted more sub bass and wanted to try the resin shell the EJ07M or KL are really special best I personally have ever heard. I like my Yanyin Canon great for just chill fun but not special like the EJ! And especially with a great amp even with the Loxji P20 which brought out some better bass on the A90D would have been a beast!
Every KL is the same, except HBBâs sample.
It really sucks, I felt something wasnât right with my KL setâs sound then after that information became apparent I kind of look at them now like-

It still sounds great to me, but if you want that bass, either get Mahina or retune it. The DD in the lava is better, but the tuning on Mahina is much more appealing to my ears.
