đŸ”¶ Shuoer EJ07M

3.5 months with no tracking info?!?! That must have been a white knuckle experience. Hopefully it’ll be smooth sailing from here on out.

When I sent my EJ07Ms in to be reshelled in resin and retuned I had about a month where I didn’t know where they were after they were handed off to Chinese customs. After they popped back up in the tracking system everything went reasonably quickly and Letshuoer’s turnaround time was actually quite fast. The result was definitely worth the wait, though! Here’s to hoping you have a similar experience :beers:!

I’m definitely interested in buying this resin kinda lava, but does that 3db lift in the bass/mid bass make a significant difference from og kinda lava?

It does. It’s a shelf up to 1k, so it’s substancialy meatier/wamer.

I’d grab it if it’s still up.

Hehe it was nerve wracking indeed
Thanks man, I hope everything will run smoothly from now on :upside_down_face:

So I have a potential trade opportunity that I need some opinions on.

My Moonlight for a stock EJ07M KL
I’m not particularly in love with the Moonlight sound but the fit is the best I have had minus the IE600. I believe I will prefer the tuning on the KL but I heard fit isn’t great with the metal shell. If it’s similar to the Olina shell then fit will be okay but not nearly as locked in as the Moonlight

To add to that the Moonlight are my team chat in ears where they function perfectly well. My main buds are my IE600 which I doubt the KL will knock off but it’s possible maybe?

What are people’s thoughts?

As far as I know, the only fitment issue most people have the the KL/EJ07M shell is the short nozzle. If you use long tips or don’t have issues with shallow facings, it may not be an issue for you (hopefully someone here can do a measurement comparison between the Moonlight and KL metal nozzle, I would but mine is resin).

The moonlight is definitely a deeper fit and I really like that plus the wing however the IE600 is tiny with a relatively short nozzle and it fits well too so it’s hard to gauge

I had fit issues with the stock KL even with longer tips. Something about the shell shape made it not fit right. Olina has a smaller shell and therefore with longer tips the shell can go further in. Hope that makes sense.

Either way Moonlight has a run of used ones lately for good prices. Probably will continue to do so. It’s also not limited to our knowledge like the KL. I’d say if it’s an even trade go for to see if you enjoy them more. If not put it back up for trade or sale. Seems like KL gets more on resale probably due to HBB being behind it.

Which did you prefer between KL and Moonlight?

Bass is more to my preference on KL. Treble is more to my liking on the Moonlight. KL can occasionally has to much treble energy for me on guitars and cymbals. It’s not piercing or fatiguing just a bit to much emphasis for me. I can adjust to bass fairly easy but, treble not so much. Between just those two I’m going with Moonlight. That’s said have you considered the Mahina. Treble of the Moonlight with the bass of the KL for the most part.

I was thinking about the Mahina as well! It’s just much harder to try for used sets of Mahinas than it is the Moonlights unfortunately

I imagine EQing the bass on the Moonlight to Mahina levels would get the same result. I will say that I did that and enjoyed the Moonlight stock. Everything was too warm with the elevated bass for me

I’d imagine it would work in reverse. I occasionally EQ mine to Moonlight with PEQ. Used squigs to get the correct EQ to input. I’ve mentioned it in other comments that I had both side by side for a few days. Mahina EQd to Moonlight I couldn’t tell a difference. Unfortunately it didn’t cross my mind to try the other way around.

I think you just answered yourself.

Moonlight comfort is top notch, but keeping a 600$ iem for that fact is kind of pointless

KL is closer to Moonlight with a better DD, so that might appeal to you as well.

I do think overall I would prefer the KL however idk if I would prefer it over the IE600 and of I don’t it’s probably not worth me paying the shipping for trade, especially internationally.

It doesn’t matter anyway since they found someone local to trade with

I’d like to try EQing my KL to what was supposed to be HBB’s tuning or at least try adding some sub and midbass to it using my Sony Walkman A105 but I need it explained to me like I’m 5

My EJ07m is still on it’s way back to LetShuoer in Dongguan after almost 2 months! The last 23 days spent in a sorting center in Dongguan, where it strangely enough arrive twice, as if a delivery attempt had been made (I bet it is sitting just next to LetShuoer’s office), though hard to say from the tracking info. I’ve got a strong feeling I’m not seeing them again, and looking at this thread, I’m not alone.

Sorry to hear this but :crossed_fingers: they’ll have a second resurrection and Letshuoer pull their finger out and get it sorted :+1:

I just went through a RMA process with Letshouer (got them back in my hands this past Friday). Try getting in touch with Joseph at Letshouer to see if he can help. He was very quick to respond. In my experience, my package was stuck in a warehouse for a day or so. I sent Joseph a note and the next morning received confirmation that the package has been delivered / received by Letshuoer.

I’m sorry that this happened to you but hope there will be a happy ending. Good luck!
