This for sure; I had to send my EJ07Ms in as well (and Iād just gotten them back from lending them out for ~5 months ;_;), but it was after Joseph started making the labels and it got there without a hitch (and I already have a return USPS label generated, just gotta wait for them to finish it). As an interesting side note, since the engineers had to open the shell after confirming the issue, they offered to let me choose a new design if I wanted. Pretty neat, even though Iām keeping that sweet, sweet green.
What? Thatās awesome. Unfortunately, I was never offered the option. They did fix a number of issues in addition to the requested repair of a rattling / loose driver in the right unit. I definitely canāt complain. Based on my experiences with chi-fi, Letshouer is definitely in the higher tiers with regards to customer support.
It is worth noting that I did have to pay a bit out of pocket for the repair which may have been part of the option, but itās still a nice gesture and I agree that Letshuoer is definitely a crew that cares about their products and customers.
Definitely hit up Joseph. They started printing the labels right after I sent mine in and theyāre was some confusion on my end and possible miscommunication between us. He was very quick to respond on discord and a tremendous help in getting things moving. My KL only took around 4-5 weeks to receive back. Heās a solid rep and definitely strives to help us out.
We think some people do almost the same FR over and over again. Only the shell is different .
Oh Iām talking about EQing the Kinda Lava around that Mahina FR.
Personally I would give the KL a bass shelf at 37hz 4-5db and done thatās where mine got returned to and happy but the EJ driver is so fast you donāt get much decay or the same kind of bass with the Yanyin driver delivers more fatter bottom end. Best way to describe how I hear them. I prefer the Yanyin bass sometimes with my Canon and end up reaching for them over the EJ07M
Hmm interesting! Now I have something to A and B on some tracks to check out thanks dude!
Considering HBB collabed on Mahina to get the tuning he wanted Kinda Lava to be but Shuoer butchered, Iād say itās no wonder youāre getting so much of the same in each set.
Thatās exactly what I wrote above. But they didnāt understand me. You buy different IEMs with almost the same FR set by one person. Iām sorry but itās the truth!!
Not listen Mahina but,at least, my KL resin sound really good.
@SoundEater and @GooberBM if anything I feel like I confused you guys with what I mean to have asked @MMag05. I have a metal Kinda Lava that has a different tuning (I have good hearing and could tell it wasnāt close enough to what HBB wanted, owning the Mele helped) and because I am basically a complete noob when it comes to equalizer settings with nymz help he told me exactly what to do to achieve a similar result on the graph of his I posted. Now owning the Mahina as well Iāve just been curious of peopleās opinion that own own both who could try the same EQ on their Kinda Lava, differences and whatnot. Sorry again for any possible confusion guys
Think youāre onto something. I prefer the KL for faster rock, with double bass pedal, as example. Mahina is favored for rap with longer deeper bass hits. EQing one to the other night give a morsel of taste to the tuning but, in no way the attack and decay of the bass.
I could give it a try in the coming days. I have family over for the week and am trying to maximize time with them.
Family before hobby, always and amen.
4 months and +3db bass laterā¦
It was a long journey but absolutely worth it, I could not be happier with the outcome!
While waiting I got a chance to listen to Mahina and was quite impressed by its tuning but now after having my KL back with that sweet bass boost it is a clear winner for me
Technicality and holographicnes are just on another level and it feels more special to me
Thanks Joseph @shuoer for guiding me through the process!
hehe no idea how a graph is supposed to sound by just looking at it.
What i can tell you is that i donĀ“t only hear an increase in subbass, I would say the mids got a little meatier too.
The whole tuning is warmer and to my ears more balanced .
Treble is of course unchanged but now it feels better balanced out by that bass shelf.
I like it a lot!
Am listening right now an really missed this set, itĀ“s just special when it comes to psychoacoustics, Mahina never gave me that feeling even though I enjoyed it a lot for just listening to music.
If my EJ07M will die one day i would buy it again in a heartbeat, but with resin shell and +3db bass from the beginning.
Actually i wanted to get resin shell but money was short
Which bass(es) did you go up on?
