šŸ”¶ Shuoer EJ07M

Talk to Joseph about it; Iā€™m pretty sure that all returns are done via a UPS label that Letshuoer sends you, preventing any mixup/confusion/loss potential. I sent my EJ07Ms back that way for repairs last year and had zero issues.

Just make sure they send back UPS , I sent mine in UPS and they sent it back with some other courier with terrible tracking and mine got porch swiped because it got delivered on a day I was away.

I ended up recovering them many months later but I was pretty pissed.
Joseph is solid guy as long as itā€™s clear whatā€™s expected all good you should have no issues.

Had no idea you recovered them, seems like the kind of crime police wouldnā€™t find the time for, or had too few threads to follow, fantastic outcome!

I live in the states so Iā€™m also curious how long things might take all together.

Actually a guy a few houses up was selling a " New " Coffee maker on Craigā€™s list I responded to and I went to go pick it up and he said he had other stuff If I was interested in and low and behold my EJā€™S were there selling for $20. I bought them and called the police and busted the whole porch swiper ring with him and his GF and Mom.

Karma has been good to me. The police were kinda pissed I bought them instead of just calling them but no way was I not getting my set back now.

Anyway with the stuff he had sitting there in Amazon boxes over 5k thatā€™s some serious time he is looking at hopefully.

It takes a special kind of stupid to sell to the neighborhood you stole from.

Iā€™m picturing a yard sale with signs like ā€œYour tires back, for cheap!ā€

$20ā€¦ youā€™d think if you were taking the risk of stealing, youā€™d Google the details of items you got, find the market used price and put them on eBay for 80% of that for a fast sale.

Also you can double check your label entries like address/declaration/company with Joseph if youā€™re unsure/have doubts to make sure they arrive in the right address.

Take note as well that the sub-bass boost will make your sound signature a little bit more warmer. Well thatā€™s how my setā€™s outcome is, but I like it

I think my total roundtrip was ~2-3 weeks, from getting the label to having them back from China. The whole thing was pretty dang efficient, all things considered.

I actually have the first three frequencies EQed +3 for what I think is satisfying me the most on them. Nymz helped me in getting them around the tuning they were meant to come out with. :slightly_smiling_face:
Iā€™m curious to try your tuning through EQ but I think Iā€™ll miss that feeling of thunder without that touch on the midbass.

Had the KL and MEST MK2 at the same time. They were almost evenly matched for bass performance, with MEST offering a slightly more audiophile bass with a touch better tactility and tautness.

Mids easily KL, but found them bit bright/shouty over time, even with Tanya filter!

Treble performance easily MEST. So immensely clear and pure, didnā€™t mind its quantity except for very bright & busy recordings. EST at high output is quite wonderful. KL kinda wispy, dark and fuzzy be comparison.

Stage easily MEST.

The thing with the KL that really killed it for me was its frontal cone shaped stage presentation. I didnā€™t get much at all to the sides while with the MEST I was inside the mestverse of course.

Gettit the Mahina within a few weeks, I hope the slight dip at 3k will prevent harsh shout and that the stage doesnā€™t project overly forward but extends sufficiently to the sides.

I actually tried to EQ my KL with +3dB sub-bass boost for an hour before going to Joseph for a retune. The EQ boost is quite different, the retune added some note weight and tamed the shoutiness that I hear before.

I agree with @Rcayn regarding the mids, it was annoying me on some R&B and Pop songs, I did try to use tanya filters as well but did not improve for me. This is what made me push for a retune hoping the added subbass will help reduce the brightness.

Interested to hear your thoughts on the Yanyin :eyes:

Yes! :muscle: Here is something fun I did;
I actually Auto-EQā€™d my Kiwi Cadenza.
I created 4 different profiles for it, mimicking very closely the tuning of the Elysian X, Kinda Lava, Mahina and IE600.

Out of all these profiles the Mahina is a standout so that bodes well. It helped in my decision to purchase it so itā€™s not confirmation bias, I believe.

Actually it was +2 on the first 3 frequencies that Iā€™ve got it sorry

Anyone who can try it give it a shot let me know what you think.

Ah I know that post, I tried that as well before going for a retune, and 3-3-3 dB after. I found a noticeable bass bleed on some of my Rap songs and mids still felt a bit bright so it feels weird, the added warm on the retune helped cover that bleed a bit somehow.

Come to think of it 2 dB sub bass retune I feel is not bad actually, I think it may be just enough to satisfy the ā€œgimpedā€ bass. (Thinking out loud)

Did you touch the midbass frequency at all? I would think thatā€™s one of the areas that was hit on by Nymzā€™s suggestion that would have decreased the brightness unless Iā€™m just looking at it wrong lol.

Is the OG EJ07 bass as punchy (tight) as the EJ07M ?? - Thank you

The Bass sounds more accurate than the ā€œMā€. Graphs lie all the time. The OG 07 is better than any M variant including a collab I did which wasnā€™t done right (another story)ā€¦doesnā€™t matter, OG 07 is probably the best set Letshuoer has ever made IMO w/ my library

Thank you, I will go for the OG
ā€œOG 07 is probably the best set Letshuoer has ever madeā€ - I see many top guys rate the OG as well so it must be true.
I was dreading the M nozzle drama anyway.
