đŸ”¶ Sivga P-II

No they are Zebra wood. And the outer grill is from the Blon B20’s The inner grill is from the Aiva’s which was something i always thought the other clones missed.

Aivas sound the best. Even Zeos thought so. but the Sivga company has made some pretty good headphones in the past. i’m very curious to see what they’ve done with it

I read somewhere that Blon, Sivga and Sendy are all owned by the same company.

Sivga is the parent company to Sendy. Don’t know about Blon.

They just arrived. Haven’t listened yet, but did take a picture.

OK, so just a disclaimer that I only had a chance to listen to the Aiva about 6 months ago and it was for like 20 minutes, so I am going off of memory (which I hate to do). I am testing using Spotify Premium output to my Geshelli Labs Enog2 Pro to my SMSL SP200 AAA THX 888. Using stock cable.

OK, these are almost an exact version of the Aiva. There are very very very subtle differences. This version of Sivga P-II sounds to me like it has the same or similar treble. The mids sound similar to my memory. There may be a difference in the upper mids as these sound every so slightly more forward. The bass sounds almost exactly the same
fast, with depth but does roll off similarly
the difference may be that these have the smallest smidgen of more bass quantity, but remember I am going off of memory and this could be negligible.

I have only listened for 2 songs so far (Turbo Lover by Judas Priest and It Ain’t Hard to Tell by Nas so I could test the low end). Overall, these are pretty good, especially if you keep the volume at a reasonable level. They are an almost exact Aiva doppelganger
the differences are so subtle, some might notice.

So that reviewer
he/she must obviously be used to a brighter sound cause these are NOT warm. That reviewer may not have been powering them properly is my guess.

It is funny, but my assumption so far has been correct. I am not averse to elevated treble if it is controlled reasonably well
which these and the Aiva are. Funny how that works. I don’t believe in burn in on headphones (for tubes and certain material speakers, burn in is helpful, albeit minimal)
but I will report back if I do notice any differences.

I forgot to mention that the imaging and soundstage are the same as the Aiva as well
narrow and focused and wider horizontally than vertically
almost like you have a fishbowl on your head
but the imaging may be among the best I’ve heard out of a planar magnetic headphone, and this includes my beloved LCD-2F I used to own, as well as my current LCD-2C.

Ok! well thanks Hazi59. :slightly_smiling_face:

I wonder how the P-II measures up to the Blon B20? The Blon B20 is on sale on Massdrop for 350$ right now. And for 315$ at ali express on sale. theres a timer so not sure the sale is now or in 7 days.

And theres still the M570 but theres been a lot of problems with it. not sure if its because of QC or if it just doesnt sound as good as the Aiva and B20.

The Blons right now seem to be the best option right now if someone wants the Aiva sound. But they are a hair under the Avia soundwise. So if the Sivga P-II matches the Aiva perfectly its 200$ cheaper.

If you’re talking about Drop, that’s 7 hours left in the sale, but they’ve been doing weird things where they add products for a week at a time then bring it right back.
Aliexpress says “Starts in:” above the timer.

That’s super sketch, $40 darkvoice territory lol

With no eBay safety net. This is all risk.

Maybe it’s 5000% VAT.

Ok very wierd. it came up off the side of my google page. looking at it everything is 50-60$ and i mean everything. yeah this does not look good. i deleted my post so people wont go there. I’m starting to wonder if i got malware.

I looked up their address and it’s apparently commonly used by scam sites (you’d think they’d just make one up). If you’re ever suspicious about a retailer, plug their full address into a search engine. It’s normally in the “About Us” page.

OK, after some further listening, the treble actually sounds like it is less in quantity to the Aiva, but it isn’t by much, but It is noticeable. These headphones definitely will expose poorly recorded tracks, same as the Aiva. I am enjoying them though, solid purchase.

Do you think it has more midrange? thats the thing that bugs me about the Aiva

In my initial listen post above, I did mention that I think has a smidgen more in the upper mids, but not by much. The mids are more or less the same as the Aiva. Not sure what part of the mids you have an issue with
but many dislike the dip from 1 to 2 khz. You have to remember that every planar magnetic headphone has what they call an “ortho wall” where ringing starts to occur. In most planars, the ortho wall starts in the mids or upper mids/lower treble (M1060 and the famous 5 KHz ringing is due to the Ortho Wall). That being said, the driver design itself will limit how much, if any, correction can be made to ringing.

Another one
noooooo! And I heard the Aiva might have been Sivga’s! China just don’t bootleg other people’s shit, they’ll let anyone bootleg their shit! China just! don’t!..give uh! fuck!!!
