Would you say the Sivga would sound pretty different than an LCD-2 pre fazor [similar to LCD2C]?
I got the LCD-2 rev1 about a month ago and am 100% blown away by them. Seriously! I want to hear the newer ones with the Fazor to compare, but if the LCD-2 Classic has the insane bass slam that these rev1 versions have, I would prob just buy a new LCD2C if I was buying new.
Yes they are kinda opposites lol. The LCD2 headphones are what they call dark. less treble, more bass. sounds more filtered. The Sivga is bright. more treble. but its not painfull. sounds more clear
I mean personally I would take an elex over the sendy driver types any day.
The main draw towards the sendy driver types is the treble detail, everything else goes to the sundara imo
What about the Bass? Aiva has really good bass
Eh, I personally think the sundara has better detail and layering in the bass, along with more reliable extension
idk im just not seeing it. i had them both. you make me want to get the sundara again and compare. maybe i just wasnt seeing it back then.
I mean we have different ears, so donât deny your experience with them. Itâs really preference here tbh
Well im saying i was more nuubish back then. but i remember really not liking the air thing they had. I havnt heard that in a headphone again since
Air thing?
Sounded airy lol
Isnât airy generally considered a positive term for treble? Could be wrong.
According to what you are looking for, I actually think the Sundara makes the most sense. Even though I currently own the Sivga P-II, if my previously owned Sundara didnât have the gimbal break, I would likely still own them.
I dislike most Hifiman headphones, other than the Sundara, Arya and old HE-500âŠso high praise from me for the Sundara. Comparing the 2, the Sundara have the wider soundstage (I prefer wide soundstage over narrow/intimate), whereas the Sendy/Sivga are narrower but have better imaging.
You are the one that ultimately has to decide. So maybe do a good old pros and cons list of both.
The sundaras ability to recreate a space is a decent bit better to me than the sendy types imo
Definitely agree with you. The difference isnât huge, but it is definitely audibly noticeable.
I am still weighing my options. Honestly want them bothâŠI wish there was a headphone that had the Sundaraâs sound in a Sendy clonesâs chassis
I know sound is the main purpose of a headphone, but when its close yoy start considering build and aesthetic as well.
I think M0N has convinced me of saving for the Elex rather than getting the Sundara right now, since he said it was better in every way, Might still get the P-II thoughâŠ
Might as well get all 3
I think that is the soundest advice. The elex are definitely better than both.
