I’m rocking a couple kilo$ and multi kilo$ head sets, but I still have an use almost daily a Phoenix in my WFH office setup - And I still enjoy it!

Glad to see you scored a set. Enjoy. I am still enamoured with mine. I use them with the SP200 THX amp and it is great. It is the one set of phones I have that doesn’t get too bright as the gain goes up. I think the two work very well together, especially using the balanced output. I know, I have heard people say there is no difference between SE and balanced but there is. Going between hi and low gain also produces different results. Just depends on what you are in the mood for. Lots of fun!

These crazy things. I shouldn’t like them as much as I do. At least that is what many are saying. “Those things suck”, they say. “There’s nothing good about them”, they say. “Save your money”, they say. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT!! Wrong! I love these things!

I can’t put my finger on it, exactly, as to why I have so much fun with them. but here’s some input; These drivers are big and punchy and in your face and fun. The tuning is very different, not to many’s taste, but I happen to love it. It’s different and fun. And yet the detail and separation that you get is amazing. These also EQ wonderfully, so you can giveth and taketh away to your taste! Notice I keep saying the word fun. Every session with these I start the head bobbin, air guitarin’ and fake drummin pretty early! That says a lot.

And then there is this Dolby Atmos for headphones I am playing around with. The Sivgas are taking full advantage of it, that is for sure! It makes everything more dynamic, bigger, deeper. It makes for a great listening experience.

Additionally, For me they are exceptionally comfortable. The addition of the Hart cable gives it great wearability. Overall I enjoy these headphones a great deal. They are total sleeper headphones and make a great addition to the collection.

I just recently purchased and received these Sivga Phoenix headphones. The Phoenix headphones are the first headphones which I have purchased and which, straight out of the box, I didn’t have any need to apply any EQ to them since I love the warmer and rich bass and midrange sound. Others might not like the sound signature since there is a rather rapid transition between the warmth and the lower treble, which results in some coloring of the sound in this fairly narrow transition region. Yeah, you can straightforwardly and readily EQ this out if you don’t like it.

I specifically purchased these headphones with the hope that these headphones could be my “kick back and relax” headphones to use at the end of any long and stressful day at work. These headphones nicely deliver in this regard. Notably, these headphones have very well controlled treble which lacks any unwanted sibilance or annoying harshness. Some have called the treble response to be somewhat dark. I somewhat agree, yet I disagree when I am trying to get into my “relax mode” after a stressful day’s work, In my relax mode, I totally do not want any strong or harsh treble. Instead, I want a relaxing and mellow sound. And this is where these Phoenix headphones hit the nail on the head, for the sole purpose of helping me to get into a happy and relaxed state of mind.

Anyone prefer Sivga Robin to Sivga Phoenix?

Is that the closed back they call the SV021? Great question. I have and love the Phoenix and as such don’t see a need for the Robin because I already have a couple of closed backs that I am happy with. But that is just me.

Speaking of the Phoenix
When the HP-2s arrived, I ran out of parking spaces for headphones, and I was going to put the Phoenix in its case. But then I thought
" Wait, I have the HD280 Pros out in the living room. I should put the Phoenix out there." So I grabbed the stock cable and connected them to the laptop in the living room.

Holy Shite. Being so easy to drive, it’s like the Phoenix was made for this type of scenario. They look really good and sound fantastic out there. I mean shockingly good. So now they are daily drivers.

I love these things! Overall I think it’s the best Two-Fiddy I have spent on this hobby.

Well, I got my Sivga Phoenix after a while of being stuck in customs, and, I gotta say, I’m not impressed

Gear : Denafrips Ares II → Singxer SA 1 → Sivga Phoenix

I think that I made a mistake, I got a pair of Dan Clark Aeon RT Closed and listened to them for a few weeks before getting the Sivga Phoenix, and, they are double the price, planars as comfy as hell, in comparison, the Sigvas are not very comfy (did not try the replacement pads), muffled and not very detailed

So, basically, don’t buy and use a more expensive headphone before buying using a cheap one

Sound advice!

“Sound” advice

I had the same issue when I got my Phoenix. I was really kinda disappointed at first. But then I kept listening and after figuring out which types of music I like to play on them and a little EQ wizardry, I now love them! In fact, they are connected directly to the laptop out in the living room and they are fantastic daily drivers out there! I’ll never get rid of mine.

Earpads literally ripped off (using them for ~8 months). And one of those thingies to clip them back broke aswell. Im so disappointed, any chance to repair it by myself? Or where can i buy compatible new ones

EDIT: Managed to glue them back for some time, ordered new pair from ali

Just purchased a Lake People G111 amp. Surprisingly, it made the phoenix so much more resolving and smooth. It gave me that “woah” moment I’m always seeking in an audio chain.

I’m still all about that apple dongle life when it comes to these headphones because they’re sensitive to amplification. But my new G111 is the exception to that rule.

My current chain, in case anyone’s curious:

As they say Set > Amp > Dac glad you’re happy with how they jam :+1:

Hehe yep, that “WOW” factor is really something.
Careful, it may keep you coming back for more now that it knows your weakness

The HIFIMAN he400se are much better in everything than these sivga Phoenix and the 400se are much cheaper
