The DEALS thread

Yeah treble is not a problem with these. As I said, zero listening fatigue.

I had the Elegia for awhile and liked it, but it was one of those headphones that needs ear-burn-in. Every-time I would put it on coming from something else, I’d be like, “This doesn’t sound right,” or, “this sounds small.” However, after listening for a couple minutes, I would really settle in and enjoy it. Great detail and imaging. I ended up trading mine away because I don’t use closed-backs all that much.

The Elegia was my daily driver for work up until very recently when I decided to go the IEM route instead because I didn’t want to be tethered to my desk all the time. Still, the Elegia are well suited to portable use if you want a full sized headphone and they are easy enough to drive. They are EASILY worth $399 if you ask me. They have a fun detailed sound that doesn’t overwhelm you or have any major FR distractions. They might be considered by some to be bass light, but the bass they have is very controlled, impactful and textured. It extends well and it’s there when called for. I think the detailed midrange was my favorite part about the Elegia.

Are the HE560 v4 worth it? Heard many good things about the original HE560 but theres not much info on these

Glad to hear. I just snagged a pair and intend to use them for the office once we are back!

I bought these back in Nov at this price. I use them almost everyday in my home office.
For $269 they’re fantastic full bodied natural sounding open backs with good soundstage.
I don’t think anyone in their right mind should buy them at the “full” price of $899.
Not as much detail as my AeonRT, but things like piano sound fuller so they compliment each other nicely.

These are also 300$ off. But I don’t know these. I don’t know if they’re worth anything.

EDIT: Josh says they’re 600$ full price. Never mind. Adorama says 300$ off 900$…

They are backordered on Adorama. But they look like they are also on sale at your neighborhood Best Buy.

Never mind, 600$ was their full price a year ago (see edit).

Focal Clear “OG” pads are $100 in headphones"dot"com.

Also apparently Moonaudio is not selling Elegia pads anymore…

Don’t know if this qualifies, but Amazon is doing “Used” 1more quads for almost half their ~115$ currently. (I paid about 52$ for a “like new” Warehouse pair, should be here by Wensday)

“Used” 1more quads for 50%

Thanks for sharing. At that price I thought they’d be worth trying. I still haven’t really found a set of iems that I like very much.

Oh nice!

For their MSRP, I think they’re pretty expensive to not have a detachable cable. At this price, it’s not as big of a negative though IMO for how good they sound. So far DnB, some synthwave, and my copy of the Detroit Rock City soundtrack has sounded pretty good. Not studio reference I would say but very FUN.

First time I have stumbled across this site and what I have read from some others on forums it’s a good place to stumble across some real retail sales once in a while.

It’s a good place for other people to FIND the deals for me on.
Too much for me to look at, and not all is amazing.

But I see a strong price on Hifiman 560’s right now via your link, and I had good luck buying a mattress from them as well. Silly deal.

Never seen 4 argons on ebay at the same time before. Anyone who wants one has a good shot.

Bought the OG Focal Clear from headphones.com sale a few weeks back with the pre-order and they just sent out an email that said they should be shipping earlier than expected - was going to be June, but now will be shipping in May. So if anyone wanted to get on the discount train for a new pair of OG Clears, now might be a good time to go for it before they are discontinued for good.
