This is already posted elsewhere, but the new HiFiman HE-R9’s were on sale this morning and I assume still are. They are a dynamic, closed back headphone for a great price. Of course that depends on how good they sound, but the reviews are promising. At $369.00, why not?

If overall resolution, dynamic bass, midrange presence and no lack of treble detail are important to you - immense recommendation. Easy to power also.
Not for OTL, people that seek huge bass output (and EQ massive shelves), potential trouble with the most treble sensitive or midrange ‘honk’ sensitivity.
A comfortable, beautiful, do-it-all headphone at a great price from a seller with very reasonable policies. Lovely pads too, I picked up an additional set recently at the new $79 price, to me they are well-priced now and will probably become difficult to source affordably by the time you’ll need them.

micro iDSD signature for $500 and i’ve personally owned this for a while for my active 2channel setup/headphones in the tinkering space in my garage and it’s pretty fucking awesome, especially with
small speakers for some reason. it’s stupid powerful for headphones and has all of ifi’s s-balanced and xspace and xbass and iematch stuff too which is nice and the xspace/bass is probably why i love it so much on small speakers because it makes them seem waaaaay bigger than they are lol.
