Is there any advantage of xdsd gryphon over the micro idsd?

newer versions of their 3d+Xbass
more power if you use balanced
hard to compare other specs

No idea. Haven’t really spent much time with the gryphon but they’re kinda geared towards different things. The gryphon has Bluetooth and a lot less power suited more for IEMs and listening on the go and the Micro iDSD signature is more like an easily transportable stack for headphones and plugging into your computer or even using like I do on a small 2 channel to make use of the line out. The gryphon is like the upgraded xCAN and personally of all of the ifi products I’ve tried, the DAC in the micro iDSD signature seems quite a bit more capable than something like the Zen DAC for some reason. Not sure if it’s just the implementation or if the chip itself is better but it’s a pretty great little combo unit.

If someone is on the fence about trying planars or Sundaras (i think these are quite a big step up over sundaras, personally, and take really well to pad swaps and grill mods) or is looking for a decent pair of gaming headphones for a reasonable price, the HE560 v4 is on sale on adorama for an insane $200 right now. Probably my favorite circle can hifiman other than the he6 line.

Grrrrrrrrrrr. Can’t pass up a deal. I’ll give it some honeycombs.

I’d also add that the he560 is one of the absolute best gaming headphones you can get, imo.

Dang it! Great deal that even this iem user could not pass up. Will be fun to try these… Thanks for posting!

any chance you’ve compared them vs the 400se (or anyone else?)

They are a lot like the HE6se v2 with drastically less power requirement. A sundara with bass and better imaging. Crazy good gaming headphones with a couple small mods. They share some of the magic the HE6se v2 has where the attack is really immediate and the decay is super well defined in it’s space giving the effect of stamping a sound in it’s place. Really solid for certain things.

anyone know of any ways i can buy from adorama from the U.K besides asking someone else to buy it and ship it? Even then that’s still cheaper than every other option for like 70% of headphones but it’d be nice not to have to

Use a shipping proxy/forwarding service like Stackry, MyUS or ShipItTo.

Huh andorama did ship my 560s to Germany with no problem don’t think UK should be different, could only blame the hole COVID thing for changes in shipping o_0

How did you manage that they shipped it to Germany?

I did simply buy it and nothing more, had later to pay FedEx some Import fee’s but nothing more

Didn’t think itd be under great britain, tried “united kingdom” and “england” lol

geat
nevermind, guess it depends on the item

It is interesting - it looks like you can get shit sent from Adorama basically everywhere including small island in the middle of Pacific Ocean, but not to Poland. This xCAN for 150$ looks like a good deal as well, but what could I do?
