The DEALS thread

I personally think so, they are pretty different sounds imo. Both are great, and with the 58x and 4xx you cover having headphones for most applications (accept closed lol)

Looks like Drop is now selling 3 yr accident protection. First I’ve seen it

Your joking. I have to say I commend their marketing team lol

$20 protection plan option on the 58x.

I own both. So… I say yes? They both sound different. And have different driver types

599 is slightly sharper than the 58x but not as resolving . Narrower than the 4xx and not as much bass extention as the 4xx
The 4xx and 58x to me are the better headphones.

I do wanna try planars, so considering these or the Dekoni blues. Kinda looking for a wider soundstage than the 58X, wanna see (hear) what its like with a large sound stage.

I wouldn’t consider any of the t50 mods for planar sound. If soundstage is your main goal maybe the DT 880 might be up your alley. The 4xx has a weird presentation. Where in songs the mids are very forward and intimate. The bass sounds wide like if you had a subwoofer in your room very out there and the highs are also wide and sounds like it’s behind the mids like physically placed behind it

That sounds like it’s a 58X but wider? I kinda like the sound stage of the 58x, just wished it was wider since it’s an open back.

Yeah it is about intimate but honestly I really like how they are . But that’s coming from a.person that owns multiple cans, iems, as well as speakers.

If you really care about soundstage and that’s all you want a good pair of bookshelf speakers if you have space and can afford it is definitely the go to

The Wooeasy Lucky Bag For Thanks Black Friday yada yada on AliExpress (overstock stuff nobody wants anymore). I bought the Choice D deal ($13.99) because why the hell not. Wooeasy is my go to on AE.

$99 on an Echobox Explorer DAP

Radsone Earstudio ES100 is $79.20 on Amazon (Free One-Day Shipping with Prime). Not sure how long this is going to last.

Unsure if this is a deal or if Audioquest is just shelling them out, but I picked up the Nighthawk Carbons for $199 today.

Holy shit 500$ off lol, nice!

You can typically pick them up for 250 on amazon, so it’s a cool 50 bucks off

I usually hear people talk about the nighthawk as strange/weird/unique/interesting/polarizing and I don’t really see that said about many other headphones. What’s the deal about this headphone? Could someone explain what there is to like about this?

It has a somewhat strange sound signature, that’s darker, more warm, strange treble, and an interesting presentation that makes it sound fairly different. Some think it’s a muddy mess or broken, and some really like it alot. It’s mainly the signature, tuning, and presentation. I think it’s pretty comfy and built fairly well (and most people don’t argue that)

i wouldnt be surprised if audioquest were overcharging for them, seems it what they do best.
