The Gold Planar Company

LMAO that tagged it’s self made up the # tag (now edited) Estat’s need more work but they championed detail and I reckon they’ll be a second coming expensive but doable?

Ive decided against buying the GL400 and GL600. Found out their a little bit dark. rolled off treble. can anyone confirm this? would be nice if Zeos could tell us what they sound like >.>

GL400 demo from Z sounds quite clear. GL600 is apparently quite dark.

GL400 is only good after mods that cost as much as the headphone does, LoL!

That’s an interesting cute little thing. Smol 80$ portable and easy-to-drive planars is a feat in itself.

The sound might not be for everyone, but, color me curious. Grado-looking and probably sounds better than grados too, because to my ears, that’s not hard to do better anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

Or, to say it differently, “they look a bit like Grados, and like Grados, they’re definitely not for everyone”.

Would be much easier if they had a website or something.
I would shoot them an email, but there is no website of theirs.

There are these bad boys called Allen Ribbon headphones too: https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.422c2e8dmgD7Ow&id=596834851143&_u=d1u0cr5i3e20

But I would like to get in touch with Gold Planar. Jeez do some of these companies suck regarding marketing… or they are just focused on Asian market. Idk

*Green Audeze LCD-4, yellow HEDD AMT, red GoldPlanar GL850 and
another comparison between Audeze LCD-4 and GoldPlanar GL850:

At GoldPlanar website the price for the Gl850 Orpheus is RMB 6,999.00 / 1,019.46 USD

AMT ( Air Motion Transformer ) is an electric sensor that can make air move much faster than traditional voice coil, electrostatic or electrostatic systems. It uses an accordion-like diaphragm to squeeze to produce a powerful and elegant sound. The speed of squeezing the air is four times faster than that of the traditional monomer, making the sound performance faster and more accurate, so that more audio can be captured Fine details and texture. In order to reproduce the complete full-frequency audible frequency band (and beyond the audible frequency band), GoldPlanar has adopted the patented technology design of the diaphragm dynamic self-balancing DDSB based on the production of AMT tweeters for many years . This new diaphragm structure It ensures that the AMT achieves uniform magnetic intensity induction in the entire magnetic circuit, resulting in smaller harmonic distortion, and more uniform sound density. At the same time, it also solves the shortcomings of the AMT unit in the low frequency band.
GoldPlanar will launch its first Orpheus full-range pneumatic headset GL850 on September 18, 2020 in Huizhou, Guangdong, China. The retail price is only RMB 6,999.00. This is undoubtedly the biggest feast of the headset industry this year.
GoldPlanar will launch another heavy Hifi headset in October. The full-frequency aluminum belt-driven headset GL1200, which uses 3 patented technologies such as peer-to-peer suspension shock absorption, will retail at only RMB7,399.00. The launch of these two cost-effective new technology headsets is undoubtedly the new dawn of headset technology in 2020. We pay tribute to the classics and look forward to the new classics! GlodPlanar website is working once again , sort of , kind of , in away. :man_shrugging:

Well they do look nice. But how do you adjust for height?

$208.88 USD for AMT headphones , and amp sounds a little suspicious to me . I’m not sure if that amp comes with the headphones . Holy crap on a stick , the product details for the Allen Ribbon headphone is longer than War & Peace .

Taobao shows 5 Allen Ribbon Headphones sold , but there are 65 reviews . After reading some of the reviews , and looking at the pictures the reviewers sent in , it does appear that the amplifier comes with the headphones , and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive . I can’t believe they are selling an AMT headphone , and amplifier for $ 208 bucks , and no one is talking about this .

links to where these are for sale?

The blue text is the link .

5 sold but 65 reviews probably mean it’s just all fake reviews. For a product that inexpensive with an amplifier that inexpensive, my guess is, no one’s talking about it because it sounds like crap.
