On it, thank you ![]()
Well the hifi tour has taken me to Tidal.
Have been a big fan of Spotify’s multi-device support or device control settings.
Control the play and music selection from tv or tablet or phone or pc but music still plays from single point. Also the song / album selection is just bit better in my mind.
Tidal does not support the multi-use device control in same way.
Music seems to play from the device you use the app and that’s it.
Spotify just raised prices here to a point of “not for me”. Tidal it is.
Just short of 20min of playing with max or high songs… i mean.
Its very clear who wins the quality. No contest there and Genelec speakers dont lie.
It just is.. very good.
Not too long ago i had to update the AVR.
So after few more app like HEOS Denon and Marantz AVR app.
Now by the HEOS app, i can control Tidal and the room / device it plays and with the Marantz app i have access to amplifier settings and it even shows the picture (“what AVR is going”) of what is currently playing from TV and what quality.
So happy days indeed.
Made only minor adjustments after this by turning up the subwoofer level. Just a touch more.
Even more happy things. The last piece of the puzzle.
Since i use RME ADI-2 in my secondary or baby set that is connected to the TV with optical cable.
HEOS now plays Tidal in the main amp and HMDI eARC allows sending audio to TV speakers and of course to optical output that sends it to RME.
So the Tidal audio is also available with the baby set using little detour route.
