I think I just figured out where mine went lol
You could probably sell these for big bucks lol
Hmm. These don’t feel like the stock T2 tips, they’re stiffer and not sticky - kinda feels like Shure’s olive tips instead. Oh well, I’m not complaining though. Lol
They do look a bit different
EDIT: Retracting what I said about these scaling. Nope I was wrong. After further listening sessions it’s simply a volume thing, the extra power does not do anything to make these sound different, that really was just my mind tricking me. My liquid spark continues to be my go to amp for these.
HAHAHA…Tin T4 thru Emotiva BasX using Hifiman speaker tap adaptor. Yes, with no music playing there is a hefty noise floor, it disappears though as soon as you apply volume and these IEMS seem to scale very well. I also finally found a pair of silicone tips that I enjoy which bump the low end pleasingly for me. Gotta say, I didn’t expect to be able to do this w/them and get this level of performance, damn.
Wondering what’s the difference between the hifiman adaptor and A-100’s headphone out with/without jumper installed? Never thought of plugging my iems into it, thought a dedicated hp amp would always be better except for the more power hungry hps.
When you say the T4 scales well, does that mean they sound better on the A-100 compared to a decent hp amp or dap?
The hifiman adapter is for the he6 and presents a 4-8ohm load on your speaker amp, and then allows you to connect it up to your headphones, so essentially the same thing as jumpers removed on the emotiva.
Also now I really want to try the t4 on an absolutely stupid setup I use for the 6se when I get back lol

My go-to amp for IEM’s has always been my liquid spark. Sounds good and plenty of power. I need to go back and do some more A/B/C testing directly between that and the Emotiva both out of the headphone out and tap adaptor but my initial impressions had to do w/ the type of noise floor sound i was hearing and what i am pretty sure the additional headroom available provides the IEM’s. Yes, the low end felt/sounded deeper, with better extension and musicality. I also had been playing w/ different ear tips so i assume some of the different sound signatures may be attributed to those too? Possibly? . Mids and high end felt really present, powerful strong and well detailed w/the tracks i was listening to.
@M0N, seriously don’t plug these into your “bad boy” rig, i am pretty sure that would zap/fry them… i have attenuation going on all over my signal path while playing around w/ the tap adaptor for safety’s sake.
When I get home I am absolutely hooking them up to the rogue monoblocks. 100 dollar iem on 15k monoblocks and I might as well use my studio dac lol, going to see how they do on a tube I guess lol
I’ve tried IEMs on the emotiva with jumpers installed and didn’t sound particularly very good, IMO. lol… curious to know what you think with your ridiculous setup…
My guess is it’s not going to be shockingly better or anything, just stupid lol (but I’m about that sometimes)
Has anybody actually recieved there upgraded T3 cable? Still waiting on mine lol
No haven’t received it (t3 cable). But looks like it will arrive early next week sometime.
What was your contribution number? I’m 5037. I haven’t recieved a tracking number or even a update on it for like a month now, so I’m trying to figure this out lol.
4830s. Got tracking on 30th, shipped on 15th.
It’s buried on the indiegogo contribution page.
