Super late to the party but hey, better late than never.
Finally got me a pair of Meles. I havenāt gotten the chance to listen to them for long but the 3 songs I did listen to were great. Just the right amount of punch in the low end I was looking for. Little harsh in the upper mid/lower treble region but I havenāt tip rolled yet. They are ridiculously comfortable by the way. Super light weight. The shells fit so nicely in my ears. By far the most comfortable IEM Iāve ever tried. Not to Mention the cable, itās fantastic.
Iām very happy. I canāt wait to listen more. @hawaiibadboy thank You, sir
āI tell you what, letās forget the fact that youāre coming a little late to the party and embrace the fact that you showed up at all.ā ā S. Seaborn ( West Wing )
I agree about the comfort, and I am wearing mine today. I tend to use them on busy days for calls and meetings, since they do a nice job of everything, and I then I donāt feel the need to mess with them, or change them out. I have one pair with Final E and another with CP100+, these are the broken in blue jeans of the IEM world.
Ahhh thatās an awesome quote, very fitting for the situation
Yeah from my short 15 minutes or so with them, they are incredibly comfortable. I look forward to leaving them in for a few hours. However, one thing to note is that even in those short 15 minutes, condensation did form on the nozzle which did concerned me. They did include 6 nozzle filters in the case which is nice though.
Woah that quickly? Dang. I wonder if the Tanchjim filter mod would work for the Mele - there were reports of Tanchjim filters being more water repellent than the stock Olina filters, but this hasnāt been verified. Alternatively, if you have a hydrophobic solution spray (like the one for glass lenses), then that could work. Only basing this on my experience at work though and not on actual IEM filters
These are good tips, thanks man. We donāt have much humidity where Iām from, the east coast of the US, during this time of year however, the summer months are super humid. Around 85% in July and August so Iām definitely a touch worried Iāll fall victim to the whole condensation issue. Weāll see!
I definitely think itās for the filters. Classic sales tactic. Draw you right in. However, I will say my Meles included 6 pairs of filters. Which was nice because I unfortunately experienced poor sound out of the left side after only 3 hours of listening. Wasnāt a huge deal, replaced the filter in a few minutes and I was good to go. Still a slight inconvenience though.
Iāve seen the Mele for ā$5.99ā on the recommended for you section of an Aliexpress page when Iām browsing for IEMs on Ali.
This price is for the stock cable if you click on the link and browse the product page.
Itās some very misleading bullshit just like how Ali is filled to the brim with fake discounts.
I think all of these personal IEM recs will appear with a very low price if that IEM comes with accessories and are sold separately (IE: Cables, filters, cases or even different versions of IEMs like the original Hana vs Hana 2021.)
