If you crave for more knowledge on reading graphs, hereās a slightly overwhelming but packed with good knowledge piece of 101 by Crinacle:
This is a very easy song for Mele. And first 30 seconds of the songās bass is better with Mele. Blon 03ās is not bad but felt that Meleās bass is another step forward. Btw, listened to Teas as well, conclusion is that itās more fun and enjoyable to listen to such songs with Mele.
Aight thanks
Iām disappointed: today is not he day iāll hget Mele.
But soonā¦ Soonā¦
My sisterās Yun Express tracking shows delivered, no signature. Separate from the recent updates that said it was ready/out for delivery. She doesnāt have it though.
They live in a country house with no immediate neighbors, so not a porch/door mistake.
Iāll see what happens tomorrow. Maybe they like to say itās delivered early. If itās not there tomorrow Iām contacting Linsoul for her.
So of the people that ordered around 5 am- linsoul
Time on the 20th did anyone get one yet?
I think some did, some didnāt. Not sure how it has been handled but Linsoul only has resumed shipping today, not just for Meleā¦
I can feel the riots incomming
I have had the Mele for a week . I think they are wonderful. They are not the most technical and I know they can be surpassed in that by other iems. They have a wonderful musicality. They are non fatiguing and so comfortable to wear. This invites long listening sessions.
HBB what great tuning, a masterpiece in my opinion. I will buy other iems that surpass the Mele in areas but they will have a place in my collection. My library is wider than classic rock but I feel they do justice to all of it. The reason we all got into this was love for music. This set definitely is all about the music. They belong in many peoples library. Thanks HBB for this set.
Iām not mad just very very curious on how they sound after reading all the great reviews (and I love the way they look so itās practically an accessory;3)
They are godly tuned for half of my library. HBB did a great job with these. To me they have the best confort in my collection and are great beaters that make you wanna rave.
Sounds like the perfect compliment to what I own, u think they can take a single raindrop if one passes my hood? (The blon bl03 has surprisingly good water protection)
Man, thank you.
Was going for timbre and tonality with long listening sessions in mind.
As you might imagine, I havent tested it
But they are robust than 03 so would say so, yeah
Has anyone tested out London grammar, Norah Jones or Diana krall on the Meleās? Also how does some classical stuff (movie soundtracks like Star Wars or 747 by Ludwig goransson) sound?
The 4 string concertos (4 seasons) sound great. Natural. No odd over exaggeration of violin harmonics. But that and some waltzes by Tchaikovsky is all I have tried on Mele.
Iām glad to hear that! Natural is on top of my list of requirements. Also just listen to a very broad range of music. The people vouching for its EDM and other house music genres checked an important box, your approval based on your music library checked a box and the final one is the classical and vocal centric music. Thanks man, really glad this iem exists.
Thanks for the trust. Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky is as far as classical goes though I like Verdi as well.
Violins are hard to get right to my ear and they sound pleasing on Mele.
Violins (it seems) are as complicated as any guitar with distortion pedals and hard to get right or real.
Can you all try playing mele with HiByMusic app and try listening while plugin āEFOtech SVirtualizerā is on. It makes iems with into your face soundstage larger (atleast outside the head). I tried it with blon and it increase a little bit in details while not having that into your face soundstage. It also increase in separation. I tried turning it on and off. Well for me, I am really enjoying it because I got rid of that into your face feeling while keeping everything just fine (no weird high frequency etc) for me. I would just like to know what do you think about that and your experience with that on meleš
I played Diana Krall it sounds very good. I have not played Norah Jones but she is in my library and sure she sounds fine. I played the Planets, Pictures at an Exhibition and some Vivaldi it sounded very nice. This what I meant that it could play other genres well.
Ordered 2am on Aug 20th, received today in UK. Guess itās time to Melee some good music.
Immediate impression right out the box: everything sounds FULLER.
Compared against the best IEM I have at the moment, Tin T4 (Spinfit CP145 tips), the T4 now sounds shrill and narrow. Not by much, but noticeable. Iām feeding music off the FiiO K3 amp, Mele using stock tips and cable. Mele is at 12:30 volume while T4 is at 1 oāclock. Take the following short review with a grain of salt 'cos there might be a honeymoon factor.
Using the three tracks as comparison:
- Billy Joel - Just the Way You Are
- miwa - ćć«ćŖćø (THE FIRST TAKE)
- Camo & Krooked - Loving You Is Easy
Mele (stock) compared to Tin T4:
- Billy Joel:
Billy Joel - Just the Way You Are
- Everything sounds warmer, fuller, and more airy.
- Kick drum and bass has a quicker attack but fuller body. Guitar plucks on the other hand are similar on both IEMs.
- Billy Joelās vocals on the T4 is thin and flat compared to Mele.
- The sax at 1:01 on the T4 is sharp to the ear while Mele is more rounded off.
- The ādingā sound at 1:07 is ASMR compared to T4.
- Sax solo from 3:00 onwards, Mele lets the sax come forth to the center of focus while on the T4 the sax still remains in the background with the maracas just as loud as the sax solo. Maracas in the same section for the Mele is further back than the sax.
- Miwaās voice on the T4 sound shrill against the fullness from Mele. Mele also carries more of the studio chamber echo for the vocal than the T4, which sound straight into the mic. (1:08-1:40)
- Piano and guitar sound further back for Mele than the closeness/loudness from the T4.
- Strings from 2:25 onwards sound further back but still clear on the Mele. Once again itās the vocals on the Mele thatās rounder more spaced out (3D) than the T4 singing straight into your earholes.
- Overall, vocals and guitar are sharper on the T4. But in terms of strings, I give it to T4 since thereās more presence and more lively than Mele. Studio spaciousness Mele wins big time, it sound as if the front and back space is stretched further on the Mele.
- Camo & Krooked
Camo & Krooked - Loving You Is Easy - YouTube
- Hi-hat and the highs from 0:20 onward are more evident on the T4 this time, giving it more of a tingly ASMR touch over Mele which hides the highs in the back.
- Bass rumble and attack from 0:33 Mele wins, but the slap in the highs around 0:39-0:41 again itās the T4 that gives more impact.
- 0:48-1:05 surprised me a lot since judging from the former two impressions I though that the bigger differentiation between the lows and highs on the T4 would give me more ASMR feel, but Mele compensated that feeling with the spacial echo and airiness. Both gave me an ASMR feel but in different compartments: Mele gives you the tingles by sealing you in a chamber hall and blasting you with that bass rumble, while T4 probes your brain with that crazy fast highs (slap) with the lows going boom-boom-bap.
- 1:18-1:33 is decisive as T4 makes the guitar slapping go extremely sharp and unbearable, both the timbre and the slapping. Mele, however, maintains the slapping but dials down the timbre shrillness, making it enjoyable.
Overall, Iām quite happy with Mele that it generally beats the T4 in nearly every aspect, just probably not the highs on some EDM tracks. On any vocal tracks Mele hands down wins with the airiness of space and fullness of vocal. Hope these three tracks show how Mele vs T4 perform on different genres. And now listening to other tracks, soundstage on the Mele is just phenomenal. T4 aināt nowhere close in terms of soundstage!
