Fantastic detail on that faceplate.
Reason for deletion: It looks like the mail was regarding a different package.
Still confused that everything showed up as delivered yesterday when she has nothing, but thatâs a different issue.
According to my local linsoul distributor, they have stock for Mele in black ready to be shipped out tomorrow but no news on the gold one. Real shame (love the look of the gold one!!) but I jumped on the black right away, cause I just canât wait anymore!
Mine isnât even shipped yet after almost three weeks hihi
The only thing I noticed with the Crystal vs Xelastec is that the Crystal tips were much shorter.
I agree that I prefer the material by far, but they are too short for most of my IEMs.
I am still a Spinfit CP100 or Final Series E guy, maybe the Radius Deep Mount will change my mind. I have some of those coming in the mail later this week.
Speaking of coming in the mail â I finally got the notification my Mele shipped, so onto the next step in the waiting game. This is my first time ordering on Linsoul or using 4px, so I am getting the full chifi ordering experience on this set of IEMs.
You might have the TWS version of the Crystal tips then. The full size version is basically the same size as the Xelastec tips. The TWS version was made for wireless buds so they wouldnât interfere with charging.
Mele landed
Not had a chance to listen to much yet, so first rambling impressions. First, canât get over how good these look and feel. Love the metal aesthetic with the black faceplates. Few tracks with my ham fisted attempt at trying to describe with timestamps, 'cos itâs the only way:
Slipknot - Psychosocial - build up to when the guitars kick in at 23s, Mele makes me want to get up and headbang, fuck yes letâs go
Soulfly - Jumpdafuckup - jeez the low end note that kicks in from the off, then at 5s and 9s and 14s and underpins the song, Mele definitely got the weight and chunkyness so you feel it
Panteraâs - 13 Steps to Nowhere - handles the snake vocal effects well, and makes Dimebagâs spiralling riff at 32s stand out
Helmet - Biscuits for Smut - kickdrum present and clear throughout (and my ears arenât the best) without getting drowned out by the guitars
Gold Dust Woman - ah, Stevie, is it only me gets lost in this song? Crack in her voice on follow in third verse âFollow those who pale in your shadowâ yep Mele delivers the shivers.
Mele = a real pleasure just to sit and listen to, but they also grab your attention when you donât expect it either. Itâs also made me think that for me a single DD is maybe where itâs at after all.
Guess the black one has been prepared more than the gold, still happy to be one of the first few for the gold one anyway- if they are send one day
First conclusion I draw from it. Welcome to the club!
After listening to Mele on stock tips for the whole afternoon, I noticed something interesting: the silver rims of the nozzle will collect humidity from my ear canals, and droplets form on the rims (dammit should of took a photo before I wiped it off). I think this is a sign that the short nozzle tips that come stock should be changed asap.
Iâve tip rolled a bit and come to the conclusion that foam tips donât work with these; foam tips soak up all the bass⊠Normal silicon tips work but bass is also dimmed a bit. But Spinfit CP145 tips work like a charm and maintains all the supposed tuning.
Finally!!
edit:
I can only give ergonomics feedback so far⊠these are amazing, THE MOST comfortable IEM in my collection. Thereâs no pressure point on any part of my ear, I only feel my CP145 and thatâs it. Amazing!!
edit2: TOOL - 7empest on Mele This is pure bliss!
Congratz yeah, they killed it on the confort side. Amazing!
I am huge fan of the CP100 ( the smaller diameter 4.5-5mm version ), they tend to preserve the bass that is present. I have viewed them as a top three for me since I first tried them. Another good answer is the Final Series E, and I find they tend to be another top pick for me. I have some candidates for the other top 3 spot, but foam always seem to dampen the sound in some way that doesnât work well for me.
Hmm that sucks! did you get the gold one?
Yeps gold was just too good
Sorry to hear that man
I ordered my black ones on the 8-20 and got the shipping notice today.
Hopefully the gold ones arenât that far behind on the shipping schedule.
The excitement is real! They have finally arrived. I unfortunately have to attend a meeting right now but Iâll have a long listening session after!
Just got my set today They actually have quite less gold in it than what the pictures shows. The gold is subtle. I do like it.
I was kinda skeptic about this cheap set. I read and listened to the reviews from the tuner and fanboys so I took them with a grain of salt. Bought them to give 5$ to the bad boy while having something in return
I have listened to them all day long. As for my first impression, the Mele gets it right. Everything is there and well balance, you can see the tuning was done to listen to music. While itâs having less details itâs also make them more forgiving to the badly produced music I have laying around in my librairy.
I listen to different type of music besides classical, but mainly hip-hop, then pop, edm and party/club music. Also, jazz rock metal a very eclectic mix of genre. Nothing sounded odd to my ear which is great for cheaper set! No EQ needed to mask the flaws, you can enjoy as is.
The bass does show up when asked to. Thatâs the star of the show and it does not overwhelm the rest of the frequencies even when itâs blasting everything remains audible and clear. The bass can be calm and quiet as the song may require.
I jumped in to give my 2 cents regarding the tips discussion.
I find the stock tip to be more balanced out but having a real narrow soundstage. Sounded like a wall of sound. Those tips were where the mids were more forward in the mix.
Spinfit cp100 brings up the treble, but the bass and mids sounds the same level as the stock tips but the soundstage expanded. The bass seemed tighter thought.
Final E bring up the bass, trebble and stage. Bass seemed way louder. The treble seemed less pronounce than on the sprinfits (more than stock tips) and the stage a little less than the spin (more than stock tips).
Take into account that tips can have different effect depending on your ears but they seems to have quite an impact with this set. I am not sure yet which one I will end up picking as default tips.
The mele will be my go to portable set for now on. At 50$, Iâll buy a couples sets and give them for Christmas! I have people around who have some crappy stuffs. Ill be Spreading the news around!
Anyways good job Chris!
Nothing wrong with a single DD. I feel they have magic most hybrids just do not have.
