Agreed, not only for that reason.
I believe @hawaiibadboy said Spinfit CP100 were used while tuning Mele (his favorite tips). Unfortunately, they werenât included with the earphone.

Exactly i didnât know what to go for!
1st thing that popped in my mind
Saw you commenting in supereview you are everywhere I look
ROFL! Nailed it. Awesome name. I was thinking about it all day after he said it.
Finally got the F word from Linsoul. Delivery is fulfilled!!! In the meantime, trying to learn the frequency graphs and what they meanâŠ
You will get the hang of the graphs, it doesnât take that long to learn what frequencies your ears / brain like or donât. It tends to be based on your musical tastes, and some people even like different tunings for different types of music.
That is good to know, they didnât make it clear when I bought them, but I will look for it if I buy another pair. I have not been too crazy about the Sednafit tips.
I am really curious to try out the Radius tips, they were cheap enough, I bought them in both black and white, just to see if there was a different in the material.
thanks bruv. iâm still training my ear. that why detailed review which pinpoints what to listen to is really appreciated. its easy to pick up.
yeah. i concur. i see iems as a musical tool⊠each with different purpose and strengths to access different audio spectrum in unlimited music genres.
Just remember that you should pick things that you are familiar with.
On his YouTube channel when hawaiibadboy talks about certain moments in songs like the kick drums in When the Levee Breaks, or the cough in Wish You Were Here, I totally got it. Those are things that I have heard hundreds of times and know what they should sound like.
My list probably wonât look like yours, but when I discovered his test list, we had overlap of about half of it. Then I realized that most of his recommended sets that I had tried were stuff I enjoyed too. Similar library and I had some confirmation that we enjoyed similar IEMs.
I think his approach is correct, there isnât a best IEM, there might not even be a best at a type of music, but you try to the find the one you enjoy for what you listen to.
agree 100%. HBB library and mine about 60% overlap thatâs why i trust what he recs. iâm most familiar how acoustic guitar and piano sounds like and building my library with those in mind. Relatively new to this hobby and still training my ears to spot them where they are and how they sound in each iem. Thanks again for the heads up.
Soo, I will be joining the Mele Queue in the next week as Iâm a fan of Blon 03.
I will also be purchasing a better source since I only have a Conexant CX 31993 Dongle for now.
What kind of source gear would you guys recommend to pair the Mele with?
DAP/DAC anything is ok as long as itâs under 150$.
You want a separate dap, a dongle for your phone or is a Bluetooth receiver also ok?
Hello and welcome to hfgf!
If you got a dongle already, Iâd save the money for more sets. Sources matter less than people think. They do, but when you are already set. You dont need high end to enjoy budget iems.
If you really need a dap, thatâs another story, but daps are expensive.
Bluetooth is a no go for me cuz it drains my phone battery.
I kinda want a DAP for
I mostly listen downloaded and donât stream much.
By the look of it, Iâd rather be saving up for a mid-range DAP and use my dongle in the mean while.
To be fair tho, I really like how the CX dongle drives Blon for only 8 buck.
If you want a DAP, iâd try to save 300 bucks and go M3X.
Sony a55 with firmware tweaks sound good, if you dont need streaming, but has low power.
Use dongle for now, worry about it later
Thanks for the suggestions.
I will be saving up for M3X then.
