After reading the last reviews of the two guys Honest Audiophile & Super*Review, I had hope that this Mele could be exactly the in-ear that I am still missing .

Lowered upper mids & restrained high frequencies, but decent bass reproduction and slightly raised lower mids, hmm, what seems to these reviewers as a flaw, could in fact cover exactly the music area in which 99% of all headphones and in-ears have problems or even fail altogether .

Namely my 70s & 80s collection & R&B from the modern era.

This music is usually designed for home stereos and or car stereos, possibly with a subwoofer.

With headphones or earphones, the vast majority of titles from these genres either sound too thin, too piercing, or completely unsorted and overwhelmed in terms of the imaging of the sound.

Since I’ve been following Chris‘es for a while, I can see his musical preference a little from his playlist.

These genres make up about 30% of what I like to listen to from time to time, but until now I haven’t had the opportunity to play this music via earphones.

Well thank you Chris @hawaiibadboy : You nailed it :100: :bangbang:

The Mele is exactly what I was looking for :ok_hand: .

Since yesterday I have been hearing from The Clash,

AC / DC,

The Alan Parons Project,

Black Sabbath,

Pink Floyd,

The Cure,

The Beatles

.

via Rammstein,

Seeed (Germany)

, up to 2NE1,

A $ AP Rocky,

Basement Jaxx,

RUN-DMC,

ATH Projekt

etc.

So all that you couldn’t call a classic audiophile

And that’s exactly what it’s for the Mele an excellent solution.

If someone is wondering if the Ifi iDSD Signature isn’t a bit overkill for a $ 50 earbud, my answer would be: NO :bangbang:

It’s a bit of everything. Mostly jazz, soul/funk. Haven’t found an iem that plays my library well.

The Mele do play my rock/rap music of library well

Some mighty fine tunes there sir :+1:

For IEMs? Not a lot. Anything under 200

The Mele would be my absolute NoBrainer for all of the music genres mentioned in my previous recommendation.

For your musical taste, I personally see the following:

The Ikko OH10 would be my choice, it has the clarity and finesse to reproduce jazz in contours.

:ok_hand:

Add to that the dynamics, the “melting”, the weight and the punch to make soul and funk shine.

:+1:

Since there is no such thing as the perfect earbud, regardless of the price range, a small collection of differently tuned earbuds is usually recommended.

In the entry-level class, these are the Tin Hifi T2, the Tripowin Mele and the Blon Bl-03, so you have covered just about every music genre very well.

I liked Mele so much that had to buy a second pair.
I’ve been in the hobby for a year and I’ve tried much more expensive gear, but Mele is my favorite to enjoy my library.
Would like to congrats and thank you @hawaiibadboy for bring this gem to us.

Excited to see what’s coming next! :star_struck:

Bought the Blue melee for my daughter for Christmas. This is my 1st photo of her wearing them, she got Covid on Boxing Day. She loves the style, sound and fit.

She looks good in blue!

I was listening to the T3+ this morning, which is a nice IEM that I would describe as a brighter more energetic Mele, but with a less comfortable acrylic shell, and flimsier cable. I have thought that for people that had condensation issues the acrylic shell would be a good thing. I like the sound, but wish it was more comfortable in my ears.

When I changed IEMs before a meeting, it was pretty shocking how much more comfortable the Mele was. The comfort of that little metal shell might be one of the most undervalued features of the Mele.

This seems like it is going to be a new thing going forward. There are number of uncomfortable IEMs coming out right now ( KZ has done a few ). I assume it is an effort to make them just a little bigger, but the shapes are not as universal as a result. Hopefully this is a fad, that passes quickly and we go back to better shapes again.

Fwiw, I returned them, linsoul sent to manufacturer for repair and they’ve been returned. Linsoul wasn’t able to give me any details regarding the “repair”.

My best guess is nothing was done that significantly changed the sound. Which means my expectations were out of sync. Basically, I had to read/watch a lot more reviews to calibrate my bass expectations with the iem world and reviewers.

After several hours of listening I have a much better appreciation for the Mele and realize I was looking for sub bass when it’s really delivering mid bass on a platter. I don’t hear much resemblance with the bl03 - but, it’s really carved out a place of its own in the sub $100 bracket.

Putting the Mele out for a spin today on my newly bought M3X. Great pairing so far!

I know the Olina is out but I’m still pretty happy with the Mele just due to how extremely comfortable it is to wear.
