I suppose a note on my experience. I LOVE how these sound. However, like others have experienced I was experiencing issues with the filters. Generally what I noticed is that one side (usually the left) sounded really low in comparison to the other. This was generally temporarily fixed by gently wiping the filter with some tissue or a cotton swab. The final straw came, when I was trying out some different tips, seeing if they might be more resilient to this problem. But I ended up accidently pushing the filter into the body of the iem. It’s a real shame, as I said the sound is awesome. But for the relatively low price, I’ll just cut my losses and move on.

You can order 10 pairs of official Tripowin MELE replacement filters for $5.99 USD (with tweezers). So a 30 cent fix anytime this happens.

Sure, I get that perhaps if it fixed the initial problem I would do that (my understanding is that it would restore the iems to their original, flawed design state), but to have to purchase additional parts for a product that is less than 2 months in my possession, perform a fix, with the expectation of having to do it again in the future, and continue to experience intermittent performance. What’s the point?

Nah, it was a batch of sets that had adhesive overspray instead of just the edges.

Thanks for the info.

I can send you the filters. The not gummed up stick shit QC ones.
I apologize you had an issue. I didn’t get into this to mess with anyones joy or wallet

I work in product design, I’ve done the otherwise great product with a pain in the arse flaw. It sucks. Unforeseen shit happens, and really in this case its the manufacturer’s responsibility.

Thanks for the offer, but I don’t want to be hassling you (when as I said, it’s not your own personal fault or responsibility). I’ll order them off the website as you say they address the over-spray issue. I had a quick look just now and it looks like I should be able to fish the filter out with the tweezers.

Hey all! In preparation for the Olina arriving I bought a Mele on a whim to try it out. One of things I noticed right away was that I found my threshold for bass and the Mele surpasses it haha. It also feels like the notes are a bit veiled. Im wondering if people have had good luck with mods or tips that tighten the bass while giving the Meles a bit more top end?

The Mele has to much bass for me too. But I find it enjoyable still. Especially on old stuff like 70’s rock and Motown, that added warmth makes the generally bad recorded tracks way more bearable.

That’s why I don’t use Mele as my daily driver: the bass distracts me from my work and the general tuning is not sure for the musics I listen the most to. So I just take it out when I’m in the mood for some old recording listening.

I didn’t try any mod: I just use cp100 tips on it.

The Olina is better choice :relaxed:

I ended up removing the filters and doing the alcohol swab mod and it’s so much better imo. The bass is definitely lessened (still very much there and present though) but the clarity is so much better and it lost that “veiled” sound

I got one on the way! I wanted to try the Mele to see if the shell would work with my UTWS3 since I think they are the same.

I think the combination of the Mele and Olina will have me returning my Timeless

Since i found out the timeless is not for me, I may sell it too when I get the olina

Does anyone have a link to purchase Mele filters ? I looked on the Linsoul website and Tripowin but no luck .The Left one looked a little wonky so I tried to straighten it when tip rolling and ended up destroying it. I ordered an Olina hopefully coming soon are they same ? Or have people had luck with tiny foams. Any advice would be appreciated.

These are for Mele fix/upkeep

The Olina are different density
