I think you are being unfair. He does hype the Anole VX and Monarch MK2. What you pointed out to him is that he never links anything outside hifigo affiliate links (which he acknowledged). That is very different from ânever gonna hype a product he doesnât profit fromâ.
I think your ârehashing video ideaâ-critic is valid and your hifigo affiliate link observation holds true. But that doesnât make someone automatically a bad or even worse: a dishonest reviewer.
EDIT: Also when it comes to crinâs affiliate reviewer critic⊠that is one side of the medal⊠you could argue that the noble thing is to not post affiliate links. You could also argue that what crin is doing is virtue signaling and profiting of crying about other dishonest reviewers⊠itâs all a business in the end. And I for one am not even mad about it. If someone in shilling every single IEM that can affiliate link to⊠well they should have the freedom to do so as I have the freedom to not watch them.

I have the same feelings everytime he posts recordings from MEST in those comparison, as it almost sound unfair. I was on the edge already twice at least because of those videos

Iâm just gonna reply once and not continue the argument. Youâve covered my main observations in your reply, but what you said here is the main problem that channel has. He comes to HFGF to dismiss my observations, attempting to paint himself as a honest reviewer. But heâs the reviewer on YT that least disclaims his attachment to businesses aka Hifigo. I would have no issues if he does the disclaimer in his vids like all sponsored reviewers do. He rarely says which sets are review units.

I think it is fair for you to critic his relative lack of transparency, but he is transparent from what I understand, even if he doesnât make it obvious. Still I get your point.
You say he âpaints himself as a honest reviewerâ implying he isnât. Between being dishonest with reviews and being not super obviously transparent about affiliations are around a million shades of grey.
The only thing dishonest I see in all of this are statements like: âHeâs never gonna hype a product that he doesnât profit fromâ
I get where you are coming from and I think your point of view is valid, but please, letâs keep it real. I am pretty sure it wasnât your intention, but with statements like these you potentially mislead community members.

So I have been putting about 3-4 hours every day since I have received these and I am addicted! One thing I just noticed however is that the condensation issue I heard about with the Mele seems to be present on the Olina as well. I was just doing some tip rolling and noticed a bunch of moister on the filters. Itâs nice that there are spare filters but I hope I wonât be having to switch them out very often. If so Iâll have to start exploring after market ones

@tkddans great video as always! I really appreciate the comparisons you make. Based on your demo I can totally hear the similarity between the T3+ and the Olina. Iâm not sure if its the mesh mod (I know yours is stock) but the Olina sounded a bit thinner in the demo than what I hear. I would love to hear your long term thoughts on the Olina. Also, that Mest is tasty!

if you looked when you ordered it shouldâve said âthis is a preorder shipping may take 2-3 weeksâ (somewhere around 3ish days ago that was their estimate) amazon is estimating 2 months for delivery also

While itâs true that the metal nozzle does make for condensation, the issue with Mele was only with a run of filters that had the wrong adhesive used in their construction. We have been assured that this was recitifed prior to the final design phase (and subsequent production) of Olina.
