šŸ”¶ Tripowin X HBB Olina

For those who are new, on the fence or gassing condensation issues (like myself). This is apparently linsouls stance on the matter. TL;DR unacceptable to me

Hello there.

Thank you for your feedback, we have reported this to our team.

We will look into improving the product to fix this issue, but it could also be that sweat or earwax clogged the filter during use.

We have included replacement filters in the package and hope this helps.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know.

If you have access to Comply foams with the built in screen, I think they will prevent the issue (at least from some testing I did on Mele).

I donā€™t have any with the screen and Iā€™m not the biggest fan of foam tips but Iā€™ll try some I have

Have you had that issue with the Olina too? I thought that was a Mele issue.

Ah crapā€¦ Sorry to hear man. Do you think itā€™d help if you got a few more people with the same issue to report to Linsoul? If this is an unresolved issue with the shell/filter combo, then weā€™ll probably hear from more people over the coming weeks as hundreds of Olinas are put to the test in the wild.

Heā€™s talking about the Olina. And yes, there has been some reports of condensation with the Olina, although no problems with mine for now

The filter is another (NAR) Nominal Acoustic Impedance/resistance type.
If you buy sets with changable nozzles like LZ A7 part of tuning is mesh and screen.

So Olina has different filter. Different nozzle. Different driver. And is machined to sit closer to the nozzle tip which is also wider (nozzle).
I sent Cal a DM to buy his set back and send to Linsoul
Mele sold over 12,000 sets and condnsation issues were under the 50 claimed to be impacted by mesh overspray.
Intentional move to another mesh was part of the Olina project

The left driver popped in my set last night at low volume. Made a noticeable pop sound, one time, got warm and is now dead. Wonder if thatā€™s related to pressure build-up. I had similar experiences with Linsoulā€™s ā€œcustomer serviceā€.

Wow, thatā€™s great you did that for him. I hope Linsoul does another investigation to get answers.

Also, I really think Linsoul should be offering him this service from the get-go, and not rely on you to spend time and money to do thisā€¦itā€™s amazing you do this, but it shouldnā€™t be on you

What card # do you have?

I just responded to you and want to say you are going above and beyond for your product which I really appreciate! I am super bummed to be having this experience since I really donā€™t want to part with my Olina . Iā€™ll do what I can to help troubleshoot this issue

EDIT: FYI I havenā€™t experience the issue since I replaced the filter once the volume dropped. If it happens again in the next day or two Iā€™ll try and capture some videos and pictures

Nah, I put my name on it. Companies look for patterns and % of fails and that is fine but on my collab it would be wise to repay you myself.
Apologize.
And at your leisure whenever you can. :+1:

Cool.
If you run into an issue again. DM me and Iā€™ll take care of you immediately.
Iā€™m in this for music , hence the lyrics and stuff.
You can hold onto the Olina regardless.

After three days with the Olina, I can honestly say that I am incredibly impressed. I have the Timeless, S12 and about 30 other iems in the $250 or lower category and musically the Olina is outstanding. The tonal balance of bass through the mids and treble regions is amazing. It is a clear demonstration that a single DD can perform very well against hybrids even against the new bread of planars. The most impressive technicality is that you have great sub-bass impact without effecting the mids is refreshing. Not sure how this was done as this is usually a side effect of an over stiffened DD.

Push donā€™t pull. And the glue on the box is weaker than the magnets holding the flap.

Oh yeah, I pulled it out without breaking anything but this sleeve might be tightest Iā€™ve stumbled upon so far
