My Olina arrived 3 days agoā¦ Donāt get a card because ordered from DD-Audio Store on AliExpress.
Man, these IEMs are so beautiful!
Itās awesome for jazz, acoustic and classic rockā¦ Incredible detail, imaging, staging and treble extension. Comfortable as fu** just like Mele.
But it didnāt work well for a part of my libraryā¦ Too much treble and mids in your face when playing some metal, modern rock tracks. Itās not a negative thing about Olina, I bought it knowing that this could happen as Iām a little sensitive to those frequencies.
Mele continues to be my favorite, as I prefer more bass and fuller sound than detail/brightness. Just a matter of preference and taste.

Yeah the Mele adds a lovely warmth to the music. I understand your point about the Olina, but if you try the dual mesh mod, youāll find that the bass increases a bit and the treble peaks decrease. Maybe then youāre almost getting the best of both sets (almost, since even this mod wonāt make Olina a bassy set)

lol ā¦ I had a moment where I was I like, OK I am old, but not THAT old.
Yesterday I was working and listening to music ( Wed. is usually a no meeting day ) and I ran into a couple of albums that sounded fantastic and the imaging of the Olina got to show off.
