What are you listening to right now?

It was undiscovered for me as well all these years. I have ~2TB of local music that I rarely listen to as there is so much content out there just waiting to be discovered!

Well that was nice. I thought I would spin up what I think is a nice follow up.

Chip Taylor is a contemporary of John Prine (nearly 5 years gone already) and brother to Jon Voight. Angolina’s uncle. He’s 84. Worth a listen to the old wise man. He talks stories as much as sings and plays.

…and to undo some of that damage…

Great record. Have seen him live four times. Transcendent.

I know Antwaun Stanley from his Vulfpeck appearances, first time looking him up.

Good things so far!

And as far as Vulfpeck goes, there’s just too much to love about this performance:

It’s been a minute since Hard to Handle

This is a solid record. Not as good as the brilliant early stuff, but I’m just grateful the Robinson brothers are getting along well enough to make new music. That’s a gift.

Agreed. Those two had a hard go of it for a good number of years it seems. My wife and I still enjoy their 1990? debut album. Takes us right back in time.

I’ve been rewatching the series…this is mostly the atmospheric orchestral music/score as opposed to the '50s-'60s tracks that do add to the show but not so much for a pure listen, for me.

I’ve never played the game, or any games for that matter, but enjoyed the heck out of this adaption.

I saw the Chris Robinson Brotherhood live about 10 years ago. I like loose, jammy music at times, but it was a 90-minute show of endless noodling. The musical equivalent of a dog chasing its tail.

The whole show I thought, “Why can’t Chris and Rich just kiss and make up and reunite the Crowes?”

This is getting some playtime recently. Interesting ‘mixes’.
