Still my favorite driving album and best mixed trance album to this day…
Haha, yeah, no point putting up with that if it’s driving you nuts; plenty of other fish in the IEM sea! Sounds like you’ve got a solid lineup to explore next.
The sublime Thylacine in concert, there’s soooo much good music appearing so far this year that I feel gluttonous with my consumption
It may sound crazy but I only heard this song during the last year. It doesn’t sound like ‘a pop song’ by ‘a super famous pop star’. I love it. Sounding phenomenal on the Prestige LTD atm.
I find it genuinely moving every time, just the odd repetitions, the rising notes, the choral aspect…
Breaking in the HBB Punch IEMs.
With Kendrick’s recent popularity, it made me want to relisten to this album from back to front. I bought this as a record when it was released and remember thinking how brilliant it was. I think it’s cool that he has rose up and earned the fame he deserves, but nothing since has topped this for me. Back to front this is one of the best modern hip hop albums of all time, IMO.
HBB Punch doing this album soilid justice so far.

Oh, me too! After hurry up tomorrow, I’m definitely stuck in the Weeknd’s vibe for now. But side note, Reflections Laughing? Definitely the standout track on the new album; such a vibe!
After turning off the SB mid halftime show with the ultimate face palm garbage performance. Now I’m taking the rap challenge of can I even feen a modern rap song that is listenable. Thus fsr I’ve found 3:
I’ll keep searching but it’s rough out there. I think I stopped listening around ‘08.
The reason why? Dude makes good tunes, Dom!
wuuuuuuuuut - damn, that’s rough to read lol I do agree with you on some level though. Modern rap is not my thing. I usually stick to my go-tos when I’m in the need for a rap/hip-hop kick. Old school Kanye, J. Cole, Wu-Tang, MF DOOM, Black Thought, etc etc. But I am a huge fan of Kendrick.
I too think this is his best Album front to back. I love the cohesion. While GNX is filled with absolutely bops, m.A.A.d city as a record I find more cohesive.
100% His new album is fantastic. At first I thought it was a bit too long with 22 tracks, but I get it now. He’s hanging up the Weeknd persona so might as well go out with a bang and lay down as many tracks as possible to put that stamp there. I think he did an absolutely amazing job. Listening to it front to back is one of my favorite album-listening experiences of recent memory because of the story.
Left work early to get home amid flood advisories. Got to finish my day here. While the storm rages, I am sinking into this one
I have slipped back into guitar mode! Here is some nice work from Spencer Elliot.
Fantastic on the speakers.
Oh, and Happy World Radio Day!
Happy Friday. Seems I’m still in guitar mode. Found another nice selection from Phil Keaggy, with some help from Mike Pachelli.
Listened to this album yesterday and today. Wow, what a hidden gem. Thanks for tip.
As a fan of Americana, I’m ashamed to say I didn’t know about this record. Now I do, and I’m grateful. What a cool album with so many diverse sounds packed within one genre!
This is like Radiohead or Wilco-level soundscapes, within Americana. Wild.
