@hit_the_right_note crazy collection you have there. Iām searching for a CMA 400i now and those things are very hard to find at a decent price.
Classical they both handle great, but the S8 is best with the high notes. Jazz I never listen to.

The oxygen is my second best single DD. The top spot goes to the FD5. But if you are listening to more acoustic/vocal music, the Oxygen will suit it a bit more.
The YBF and the FD5 should be very similar though, both with U-shaped signature. But not sure if you got the beryllium version on it soā¦

True, but one of them has piss poor qc and a bad reputation while the other does not (yet). FD5 >> YBF
Have you had a bad YBF? I still would 100% rec it, but of course there are so many other options. I donāt swap cables on it, which I feel is probably where 100% of the negative feedback is coming from. Anyway, all they need to do is update it, and itās back to being magic. 
Put a non-removeable cable on and sell it for less, idc.
Bad as in broken mmcx? yes, I need to tape it for it to not be detached by gravity lol.
But I do believe it is the beryllium version, since the bass sounds near identical to the bass in the FH3.

weāll you folks convinced meā¦ I bought the EA1. Got it in 2 days from Amazon. Holy Shit!!! what have I been missing out on? This is 30 bucks? what the hellā¦ been listening for about an hrā¦ holy shitttttt again. The freaking cymbals, OMG. Blows my TWS soundpeat SEIII out of the park. Not even same planet. My Phillips SHP9500 have nice openness but not the full sound of this 1DD Be driver. My bluetooth Sony WH1000XM3, are the only things close. But those are like $250. So Iāll have to spend more time breaking these in and to do a BTB comparo. Holy SHIT. You guys and your freaking hobby. You are going to kill my wallet, if the $300 to $500 stuff is really that much better than this $30 entry level ass kicker. Way to go FiiO with your JadeAudio EA1. Please anyone have a frequency chart of this??? Iām now very curious of how deep the V is.
Only found the graph for the FD1, but it should be the same as the EA1.

ok kinds of make sense, with what was going on in my head, Bass was clean and quick but not over powering, I expected a roll off maybe around 30ishā¦ and the 4K is up thereā¦ A little flatter than I expected. Maybe the Be driver makes it better than the chart, in punch and quickness. Loving them so farā¦ just driving them with Clipthat high res Type C to 3.5mm adapter from Samsung S20FE. Would a Fiio BTR3K or 5 make much difference? Thanks for the rec guys and getting another noob into the hobby.

darn you guys, and my wallet, I did order FH3 to compare the low end to EA1. To see if its worth the $100 delta. Still trying to figure out the AMP/DAC choice.

how important is balanced connection?
Very important since you arent getting the maximum potential on those amps without it.
the BTR5 is like 70mw with SE and 240mw with balanced.
If itās balanced then use balanced if itās a SE design then use that, some of the top IEM/Portable Amp/Dacs Hugo2 Woo WA11 are SE only.
