Did try the same stack Q1 II with BTR3 for my balanced Sennheisers 
after few weeks with it, bought the Chord Mojo used and the ifi xDSD
Yeah thats too much cash for me to drop for my portables

I have heard lots of good and bad over the years about the X2 headphones and I was curious. These are so cheap that I can sell them on without much of a loss if I am not a fan. Same reason I picked up a used Vali 2 and used HD58X’s. Last two were nice surprises.

I find that I like to take at Least a month to judge something. It can go from good to bad or bad to good over several weeks. At least in my case.
true, only takes a couple days for me personally or like 4 listening session until I know I dont really like something but sometimes I can immidiately tell if something is not or is for me.
Worst ever for me was NightOwl Carbons. I was comparing them to Grado PS500e’s. I fell in love HARD! A month later I hated them so much I couldn’t wait to get rid of them.
I had forgotten to use my Linsoul coupon so I went and snatched up a pair of them chi-fi electrostat IEM’s the Tape or whatever it’s called.

Same here. Mostly only use them on travel along with my Koss thingies. I bring along a little FIIO amp and I’m good to go for a week or 2. Much easier than lugging around a full over ear can and I’m satisfied. Puts me to sleep in the hotel beds like a baby
