You have very good luck with Hifiman then. I was just saying that for some people, they can’t seem to escape the bad luck lol.
I’ve had pretty good luck as well, but also avoided the pitfalls too because I know what to look for on hifiman
Yeah, seems like there must be certain things here and there that could alert you to a problem.
Anything that’s discounted too low, anything that has had something to do with Adorama, and anything with se or v3 attached lol
just bought a lightly used m40x for 38$, hope i didn’t get scammed lol
Cross your fingers.

You just don’t buy Hifiman for the quality, but for the experience.
Experiences include:
- channel imbalance
- RMA hell that makes Acer look like a walk in the park
- “Is that broken or?”-self doubt
I’ve had a fairly painless experience with their customer support lol
They look awesome!
finally ordered this one https://www.thomann.de/de/rooms_audio_line_typ_fs_mk_headphone_stand.htm
congratulations! what tube amp do we see in the background?
Thank you!
It’s just the darkvoice with some tung sol tubes. Nothing crazy, but sounds really good with the Verite. Within the next month I’ll be getting the BH crack with speed ball. These definitely take to a tube nicely!
Thank you! Much appreciated!
oh the BC + Speedball is also one of my 2 tube amps on the list
Edit: do you plan to build it?
already read so mutch about the Verité - must be glorious… especially on a tube
No unfortunately I won’t be building it. I’m having someone build it (pussed out haha).Would love to and would love the experience but I just don’t have the time. I have to make time just to relax and listen to music.
I’m capable, pretty good with my hands. I’ve built other things and do my own stippling/gun work (other hobbies when I have time) but not this experience in soldering.
I am with you on the soldering part - my best buddy is going to do the build for me, while I look over his shoulder and make nervwrecking noises
I feel you! I just want to ensure I get the best possible sounds lol
oh this looks quite grippy!
love micarta on my knives for grip over all other materials
