what are your recommended travel headphones… not like noise cancelling but more like “hey here are some good closed backs that isolate well and not TOO much power required”

It’s a shame that it got here while the Elex is out for warranty but that’s just unlucky timing. It feels much nicer than the stock cable. Thanks Hart-Audio.

I like the sheath. Can’t wait to get my cables from Hart too! Hopefully the supply chain for parts is still working.

I took the Elegia on a cross country trip recently. They sound great, isolate well and can be powered off a phone. I’ve heard the DCA Aeon Closed 2 isolate even better and sound great, bit I’ve not listened to them.

The elegia is pretty nice for that, the aeon 2 is as well, but those take some juice to really get going

My out and about headphones are my Meze 99 Classic’s. Great sounding, light, come with a travel case, beautiful to look at, Super easy to drive and give a little kick in the bass department.

I found mine fairly affordable and supposedly the MassDrop Noir’s are identical and much cheaper. Wonder if they also provide the travel case?

I would just leave the 99’s in my bag all the time during my last job and no problems at all. And that bag was always being tossed around the car, work, etc. Never had a problem

The Noir indeed include the travel case…

A more budget friendly option I’d suggest the takstar pro82 or for a little more the k361/371
