What did you buy today? (Part 1)

The RNHP would be a great upgrade. Much more natural and musical than the THX. Almost everyone who went from the THX amps to the RNHP ended up keeping the RNHP and selling the THX lol.
And a lot of people say the Bifrost 2 and the RNHP are a really good pairing too.

Thank you for the excellent recommendation. Now I’m going to research the crap out of the RNHP and find comparisons. I WANT to hold back on spending until the fall because motorcycle season is about to start and with the virus going around, time to buy some large cap stocks to pay for the fun audio gear.

Understandable!
I would recommend reading through the RNHP thread, lots of good reviews by trusted members in there even.

I like how it came in a CM MH 752 case.

Seems the guy I bought these from didn’t have the original box, the headphones are in excellent conditions though.

Nice! I have the same wood on my Eikon. I personally think the sound is perfect with the stock pads. Of all the ZMFs I own, I think the Eikons and Auteurs sound best with the stock pads. I think you will really enjoy it.

I read the hold thing. You guys are nuts, clearly I need to join the gang. I’m also convinced Mon is a shill at this point for that company, but nobody cares because that amp sounds so good apparently.

Side note: Who’s waiting for Mon to open up his own store with recommendations. MON drop anyway? I’d be interested.

Lol. Pretty sure he just prefers to enjoy the audio hobby as a consumer. Would be interesting though.

The version of the ebonies with the removable cable has been on my radar, but I’ve seen the earlier cabled version being offered on ebay a few times lately. I guess one can mod the cabled version by converting it to have removable cables.

If you do it yourself is inexpensive.

take the the power tube out (the big one), to get rid of hum you only need to burn in the driver tube. Leave it on for as long as it takes to get rid of hum. usually 48 - 72 hours.

Okay thanks… will do :+1:

My stack has been assembled.
