Just ordered a new cable from CapistranoCables for my Eikon. Decided to go with the copper, he’s gonna start building it today and should have it by early next week.

They sound horrible lol. Absolutely no bass and you would think they would sound more open but they really don’t. Maybe a little but the trade off isn’t worth it.

Yea the immediate description sounded like an AV Receiver. But the overview on the bottom had the right info. Same with the warranty. I also contacted the seller to make sure they were new and they confirmed.
They’re also an authorized dealer on their normal website.
So I’m fairly confident I found a great deal. Only 2 dollars more than the amazon historical low… from 2017.

You had asked about Sundara vs Elex’s. I liked both of them immediately.
I am A-B’ing them today on two different amps (Burson Fun and SP200). The Elex is a much better headphone, but you really have to listen for it. It is certainly not, as the price would infer, twice as good.
The Sundara’s are much harder to drive.
The Sundara’s might excel in one area: Large sounds with lots of instruments or choirs. They really seem to shine when they have lots to work with. So far, I am very impressed and thinking these are a keeper.
But the Elex’s are pretty damn close to perfect, IMO.

I heard you can use this on headphones that dont take to tubes well. like planars. have you tried any other headphones that dont take to tubes?
Are you referring to the Tuba? It has 2 headphone outputs… 1 is low impedance and the other high impedance. This amp is also not an OTL, so planars shouldn’t be as problematic…but I haven’t tried running my LCD-2C off of them yet. The Tuba arrived just today, late this morning…so I did some listening while working and now I am leaving the amp on to let the tubes burn in over night.
