I’m not even on the tracking sheet yet, and I already love them. 
This will be my 3rd set of (limited) ZMFs. I heard the whole lineup at CANJAM SoCal last summer, and again at RMAF. I ended up passing on Verite before since I already have both Utopia and Stellia, so Beryllium speed and detail wasn’t an absolute must. And more importantly, stepping down a tier allowed me to justify picking up both Auteur (cocobolo) and Eikon (camphor burl). My wife was in love with ZMF, too, so she’s the official caretaker of the Auteurs and the Eikons are all mine.
Unofficially, I had been saving up for some nicer LCDs since the only Audeze cans I own are the GX, and I wanted to branch into some better planars. The plan was to hold out for this year’s CANJAM (SoCal is driving distance) and do a deep audition across the line, then see if there were any deals to be had. But with the world gone a little crazy, I decided I wanted to contribute to Zach and his shop since it’s such a small operation and the economy is in the toilet. VC was an easy choice.
And now that I’m up to 3 magnificent ZMF headphones, what better way to branch (more seriously) into tubes than with their amp? Another easy decision.
Lol, yup, looks that way. As much as “42” sounds like a metaphor or even the answer to the ultimate question of life, there are indeed 41 names ahead of me on the list right now.
Nice to see they’ve got a healthy backlog of orders. The VCs have been receiving a tremendous amount of praise, and that leopardwood is gorgeous. I do think that if you were to choose only one ZMF headphone to own, the closed Verite has a heck of a strong argument in its favor.

Yeah, I got 2k copper upgrade cables with each of my first two ZMF headphones. Both are terminated in Eidolic 2.5mm. I have a set of Eidolic “super short adapters” that I use to convert to other connection types (XLR, 1/4", 3.5mm).
I’m not much of a believer in cables for sound quality (the magnitude of any differences is subtle enough that it falls beneath my skepticism for repeatable results), but I am a believer in well-built cables with fine aesthetics for my nicest headphones, and the ZMF 2K copper is porn. 
For my VC I went with a 4 strand pure silver cable, just to mix things up.

I have 5 or 6 tb or storage and I don’t even keep video. Storage is always a good thing.

The 4 strand silver is the best cable I have ever owned. I agree that the benefits are up for debate, but it just drapes over your hands like a piece of string and looks beautiful. I have the mechanikos in 4.4 termination, and it looks great but has more memory and stiffness than the 4 strand. The 4 strand is completely slack

My Tuba arrived this morning. So far, listening with my HD650 and Atticus has been a joy. It also is much better looking in person. I need to do some quality listening and burn in the tubes longer before I can give a detailed description of feedback, but so far the soundstage sounds increased in the HD650. Bass has more roar and the mids sound more snappy. This isnt a typical sloppy otl tube amp like my old darkvoice, but it adds just enough of a tubey sound to satisfy, while sounding very natural.

lol thanks. I took it on a samsung s20, pretty good camera. From my initial listening totally worth the wait. But I totally understand the agony of checking the calendar every few minutes. Stay strong!
