I love the look of them. I think I will be happy lol. I am stoked as well, going to have to have a midif(?) roundup comparison. Martin Logan vs KEF vs Elac! all 3 sets costs about the same price brand new no sales.

I posted a wanted thread for Grado’s and got offered these for $170 the same day. Even though they had many hours of use, they’re in great condition unlike many of the ones on Ebay. So I’m quite happy with this find. Early impression is these are sublime when listening to the right kind of track

That’s a pretty nice price, and better pads too. I def agree they can be great on some tracks

And those are the optional G-pads, not what normally comes with the SR325e’s.
They are what I started out on. Super easy to drive.
Be sure to post your thoughts.

You started with the 325 or the pads? Yeah the pads were a nice bonus. Especially since I had already ordered G-pads from china without realizing it. And so the shipping is dumb slow. I will definitely post impressions later

I meant to say that I started my Grado journey with the SR325E’s. They come with L-cush pads, which are much smaller and keep your ears further from the cups.

The sound you get with the G-cush is NOT how they are supposed to sound, but they are much more comfortable.

Let us know what you think.

Got these through yesterday, really liking all three of them so far (FiiO Q1ii, Topping E30 and KPH30i) I think that the KPH30is might end up replacing my Takstar Pro 82s as my portable headphones, but I’ll need to properly compare them before I decide that.

On FedEx vehicle for delivery.

It’s like crack.

Just ordered a Schiit Loki - going to start playing around with EQ, probably sparingly though. I’m definitely one of the people sensitive to treble.

It is a great yet subtle little fella. You can crank the bass to “max”, but it won’t distort. It will just give you some nice kick. Great tool!

My EI El84 tubes arrived. So far they sound similar to the Soviet 6P14P-EV tubes I have. The EI may have better mids and less grain in the treble though. More listening time will be needed to confirm.

Older, used but new-to-me Senn HD600’s. I really seem to enjoy the Sennheiser sound signature and I have multiple amplifiers they all sound lovely with.

It looks nice with all that luster. I thought I didn’t like that speckled egg look but seeing yours just completely changed my mind

I went out of my way to find an older pair and passed on the Amazon deal weeks ago that had the new models for $250 shipped just because I prefer the speckled look. Beauty is all in the eye of the beholder. We all have our individual likes and dislikes…

I like the marble/speckled look more. The new black is really…bland.

They are so amazing on a tube amp. Even a low impedance one.

I’m with you on that one and sought out the speckled finish as well. Those are in really nice condition. Solid purchase :beers:

i absolutely love my hd600/crack combo. i passed on senn’s for so long because of the “clamp of death”. broke down and got the 600’s on an amazon sale earlier this year, and could not be happier. for my head the clamp force is pretty much perfect.

I will say though, not the best combo for most metal or rnb/rap. I ordered a pair of dt880 600 ohm’s today that i think will excel at the few genres the hd600’s lack a little in.

edit: I will also say: I dislike the hd600’s on any of my solid state amps. Also like them with my chifi hybrid tube amps, but not the lyr3 :man_shrugging:

just ordered this for the crack. people say it increases sound quality. regardless mostly bought for something to build and because it is a right angle plug.
