Ooooh. A few things just came. Playing with them now. Both dac/amp are used but seem as new.

HeeHee UPS finally made it, Steve Deckert the owner of Decware was playing around and made these tiny little Radial speakers. https://www.decware.com/cgi-bin/yabb22/YaBB.pl?num=1582567152
The plans for a DIY set are for sale but he offered up a few of his prototypes for us to buy, so I jumped on a set he made of African Padauk wood. They are adorable and work perfectly w/ my tiny little Line Magnetic 218IA flea-watt 3wpc amplifier. Obviously their big brothers offer up much more sound but I really wanted to hear what a good set of radial speakers sound like, these are adorable and perfect in my small office.

Damn those look interesting, how do they sound?

Whoaā€¦ did a double take at the first pic thinking they were a variation of those Ohm walsh speakers that Z lovesā€¦ did not even look past them at the equipmentā€¦ Ha haā€¦ BIG fricking amp compared toā€¦

@Freyr, Iā€™m putting them through their paces now, I swapped tubes on the amp and Iā€™m going through blues, jazz, vocals, and such. These are tiny 1 1/2" drivers producing really pleasing full sound. They are NOT loud by any means but very very proficient, they really just sound like tiny audiophile speakers. Iā€™m about to add a sub to fill out the low end and see what happens. Initial impressions says build these for a fun project if you can, you canā€™t lose.

EDIT: The cool thing about these, is that you donā€™t have to sit in front of them to enjoy the sound, I can see these in different rooms for really pleasing background fill.
2nd EDIT: These are a fun project to play with if you have the right equipment, visit the forum and read about flea-watt speakers and ampsā€¦

Nice. As a fellow Arya owner, Iā€™m interested to see how they pair with yours.

Actually I got it for my Helios. since its a bright headphone i thought a warm DAC paired with my RNHP would be good for it. Mon recommended it highly. And Dago told me the Bifrost and RNHP pair great together. But it should be good for the treble leaning Arya too. iā€™ll try it out and let you know

Thatā€™s it one and only use :slightly_smiling_face: Love it!!

What headphones are those in the third picture? They look really cool.

The Bifrost 2 and RNHP do make a great pair. I tried the Soekris DAC1321 with my RNHP and it just didnā€™t sound right at all.

The Bifrost 2 + RNHP and Soekris DAC1321 + Lake People G111 are my 2 main components of my main PC rig (BF2 + RNHP) and my home work office (Soekris DAC1321 + Lake People G111). I can highly recommend either pairingā€¦so I think you will notice a positive difference with the BF2 & RNHP. I hope it works out for you.

Are those Kennerton M12s? They look like the Purple Heart M12s to me, but maybe my vision is going bad, lol.

@Hazi59 , @A_COC0NUT, you are RIGHT on the money with that yes. Fisher M12s by Kennerton in purple heart with upgraded larger pads.

Awesome! I was looking at the Kennerton and Fischer lines today when I was bored, ironically enough. How do you like the M12s? Do you own any other Kennerton models/heard other Kennerton models? Their prices seem a tad high, but the currency conversion and shipping costs probably has a lot to do with it.

Nice colour choice :+1:

No, I missed all the sales and was throwing funds away elsewhere, the Threk, Woodan, Thror, and magni were the ones in my sights but honestly I donā€™t think they will mate well with more than 1 or 2 of my amps so Iā€™m in no particular rush or even much determined anymore. I like the M12s, a bit lean but very clean and detailed, they have a place in the pile but would not be daily drivers for me.

How would you compare the quality of the 1321 and the Bifrost? would you say they are on the same level? i got the impression from Mon that the 1421 was more on the Bifrost level.

BTW the Bifrost 2 was 787$ after tax and shipping. wish i would have bought it used

OK, that makes sense to me. I was looking at the Odin, Vali and Magni, but leaning towards the Magni since another closed back would make more sense to me at this current moment in time. Mother Russia making some beautiful headphones.

The Magni is a solid performer from what i hear. @XyleFBB has them and the Vali. The thing that really steered me toward them is the beauty, they really are gorgeous, all of them and you can select so many different gorgeous woodsā€¦Personally I like the quality too.

So I personally have a hard time picking one over the otherā€¦specifically because they both have great synergy with the amps I have connected to them. I havenā€™t heard the 1421 so I canā€™t comment on thatā€¦but the 1321 is a great sounding DAC at a very reasonable price. That being saidā€¦I do ever so slightly prefer the Bifrost 2 because I feel it has greater synergy possibilities than the Soekris. Plus the Soekris 1321 is RCA unbalanced output only, whereas the Bifrost 2 has RCA unbalanced and XLR balanced outputsā€¦and they both can be utilized simultaneously since they are separate output stages.
