What did you buy today? (Part 1)

Dude I cannot choose one which to use as my single daily driver to use, so I have to use both. I love both sounds from the Starfields and the BL03s. BL03s are for fun and my god the imaging is excellent from the BL03s. Starfields however, are for chilling and relaxing for it is pretty much the improved version of the good Tin HiFi T2s that I love to use.

Starfields are soooooooo much better, but that’s my opinion, so feel free to take that with some salt. Feel free to give them both a try.
The consensus seems to be that the Starfields have a very vanilla sound. Nothing is done bad, but nothing that stands out especially well.
The BL03 seems to be a love it or don’t like it unit. I’m in the latter party where I tend to use it if I don’t care about sound quality and just want something to make sound.

Damnnnm what’s with all the source gear upgrades recently lol. Amps galore. Enjoy all

Will have a fun update hopefully in a few hours (not source gear sadly)

Finally upgraded my desktop audio rack from bamboo cutting boards on drawers…to its own piece of furniture (with space for nice looking storage and the small desktop HP Z2 mini - my PC) My partner wasn’t super stoked when discussing but finally convinced and now is on board.

Newest member of my collection (the LS). From A/B testing 1 1/2 song I have to admit that the differences are rather subtle to me, so I guess I’m going to hold off on also replacing the E10K as a DAC for a D10. From what I’ve heard the headphones make the most difference, then the amps and then the DACs. Of course this may all change when I’ve properly tested it with all headphones and IEMs over the coming week…

Subtle? I had an Aune X1s, Fiio E10k, SP200 (with Sanskrit 10th MK2) and Fostex HP-A3 and the difference between all of them were night and day. In your case, the fiio has to be greatly inferior to the other amp.

Right thread this time lol…L-Cushions came in for the Grado’s, digging them so far

These arrived today - Going to give them a listen for a while using the stock pads before swapping in the Brainwavs.

RSD is coming so im spending a ton of money on records soon

then i have to focus on the magni, then the hipdac/topping nx4, then the beyerdynamic or sennheiser or other stuff

Sonorous VI, probably need to try a few pads on these so my ears are not touching the grill of the drivers.

Don’t know what to tell you, maybe my ears aren’t that sensitive or something. It seems like there is a bit more separation and a bit more soundstage. Wouldn’t call it night and day so far though.

These fans have arrived for my new case. I hope it will be a better set than the current fans that I own for I will give these current ones to my little brothers who are using their PC, they are in need of some fans for more cooling.

I get to see what a slight upmarket ladder DAC can do that my current $200 dollar DAC cant.

EDIT: oh yeah, forgot to mention… two week lead time, so there’s a little bit of a wait involved.

Finished my detachable cable mod on my DT880 last night. There was a bit of space on the sides of the jack, so I used some epoxy putty. Amazon sent me gray instead of black though. Debating if I waste my time painting the putty black, or just leaving it be. My father used to say “it’s not like anybody will see it from the freeway” lmao.

question: do you prefer hart audio cables or periapt… because hart audio is cheaper but periapt is is considered super reliable and buying a high quality cable and an XLR to 4.4mm adapter doesn’t seem that bad if im getting a much better cable
