I was planning just a visit to my local Hifistore, since haven’t been there after they moved.
Aaaaaaand after 10min of talking…
It seem to have bought and ordered a pair of white Genelec 8330 SAM’s for my secondary setup with TV. The owner knows me to well… lol
…plus my old solid %, vip discount was active… could not say no to that. lol
Seems i have to move the JBL 305’s for computer use (shame on me)… and i need to buy a new dac/preamp for them. lol
Does your Yinyoo 16 core have any sort of jacket or insulation on the wire? As I mentioned yesterday, the one I ordered has none. It’s bare conductors the entire length of the cable. Strangely, mine also has a different style of barrel on the 3.5mm plug.
Want to ask a quick question, with passive noise cancellation on iems and headphones, is the amount of db reduction on the frequency range of human hearing uniform among an individual item, or can a single item be better at cancelling out one frequency over another, while being vice versa on another item?
Most impressive Bass I’ve ever heard from a headphone.
It’s not really quantity, but the shear extension, and the ability to convey the “shape” or timbre of it.
I am a fan of the Sennheiser sound and they seem to play well with several of my amplifiers. I’m late to the game but have wanted these for a long while now, especially since I’m starting to better understand my own preferences. 800S after a really long wait/delay.
These have been out long enough that folks are well versed in them and what else at this price range offers better and comparable quality. That’s why sound appreciation is SO subjective, I adore these, and some of the Grado models, we all have our preferences. Humorously enough I personally don’t care all that much for the look but really enjoy the sound…
upgraded the cables for the cheap $2 RCA ones I had, set of Topping RCA, which will go from the Topping D90 to the SMSL sa300 for the time being, and a QED sub cable go from the sa300 to the svs pb-1000
Mine I think has a jacket on the wire, though it does not have a stiff ear hook that you usually see in IEM cables. Maybe I guess yours is like a different version of it or something.
