From what I heard, those are quite impressive little irons.
Can I ask what made you choose the Single ended vs the balanced edition?
Because my endgame headphones is SE, DT 1990 and i don’t want anything else from headphones, single end version is cheaper for 250$, i think price was the main factor, and i still can connect balanced dac to fa-12s and take sound from single end output.

Wired all of my IEM’s balanced with 2.5mm connectors to use with BTR5, and then realized that I like using them sometimes on the rest of my desktop gear. So I bought the full set of adapters: 3.5mm, 4.4mm, 1/4", and XLR. Now “all your base are belong to us”!

Buy these today (got them last week) but I found a nice pair of Dynaco A-35s locally that I picked up. These are my first set of vintage speakers and I’m absolutely blown away by their quality for the price I paid. I run these in my bedroom with a basic Topping amp. (Just a stock photo because I didn’t take a good picture of them)

Beaten up ifi micro bl for a little over 100 bux! I got super lucky! This thing sounds amazing! Just hope it can hold a charge and keeps working…
**Edit - no longer really a portable rig. It won’t charge but I can use it sometimes when I fudge with it right and it stops blinking led lights at me. If I leave it on forever, it won’t be a problem. I guess it’s a pcb, usb connection issue and ifi reseated it and sent it back because maybe that was all they could do aside from selling me a new unit. Pretty happy to have another option for dac/amp even though it’s crippled in function because of the power issues.

@eskamobob1 It had a bad battery when I got it but ifi fixed it up for me somehow and it works! Didn’t even send an invoice. Was doa originally.
