It’s making my Elex sing!
Cascades came in a little while ago - been meaning to post but been enjoying them farrrrr too much.
Dekoni nuggets to solve my small head problem!
Finally got the correct bumper yesterday, and got it installed this morning! The LED headlights are installed, I just gotta figure out how I wanna route the new wiring harness for the fog lights. Tried going with what i thought was where the old ones went, and find it was a bit short for that… Ah well. I’ll figure something out.
Dayton Audio Bass Shaker aka Butt Rumbler and a 100W subwoofer amp. Really great fun if you want that immersion with your movie viewing and video gaming as well.
please make sure your headlights are angled downward. being blinded by lights while driving at night is murder on the eyes of oncoming traffic.
how does the bass shaker work?
Don’t worry, they are. I still have yet to install the fog lights.
For my use case, I have the shaker connected to my sub out on my AVR, so now I feel all of the subwoofer elements in movies and music. When researching, I noticed a lot of people using them on their sim racing rigs as well.
Just be careful going amp → switcher → headphones. Its a shorting switch.
The chain will be DAC to switcher to amps.
What risk do you see in that?
not the most knowledgeable on this topic, but given how dac → amp interactions work I would assume the risks would be significantly less given how much power line level actually is.
I wouldn’t think there would be any risk in using a passive switcher. I could see some risks/issues with a splitter. I use split cables but think a switcher would be more efficient.
Yah. The worry is shorting across the amps just given how much power is involved. One of those “likely wont be a problem, but is it worth the chance?”
I am not an electronics expert so I guess I am unaware of risk of shorting an amp.
And I will be running two of these, XLR and SE.
Long story short is you chance having your one amp use the other to complete its circuit for a completely closed circuit over drawing the amp. Again. chances quite low and most modern amps should have good protection against this happening, but there is a chance and it would likely take out both amps and possibly anything connected to them if it happened.
What?
Worst case, it commons the hot and cold of the signal from two inputs for a brief moment.
If it ever shorts anything out, it is time for RMA.
Received the Renkforce Hve 2020 undamaged from the post office today.
But the condition was rather poor.
Sure it’s old, but when I sell something I clean the old dirt off it first.
It must have been the price on Ebay.
Now it looks good again after cleaning.
After rocking the normal DT880-600, I wanted to get the chrome black edition. After a long search I found one. Amusingly it sounds a bit different but whatever.
