What did you buy today? (Part 1)

yeah, it was RCA… but he was testing how long he could make a the cable with multiple interconnects… and at the end he was even resorting to splitters… etc…
It was a SPDIF Digital connection

I mean unless we are talking about different videos here…

You mean RCA to a SPDIF? I dont understand

SPDIF can use RCA cables… just straight up… not talking about optical cables… just a straight digital RCA connection for SPDIF

I didnt see any SPDIF or optical cables. they were cables like these:

I’ll see if i can find the video… but YES… those cables can be used for SPDIF digital connections

I didn’t know the ‘S’ and ‘P’ of spdif stood for Sony and Philips, that’s interesting.

Digital audio jitter can also definitely be more subtle… it doesn’t have to be an obvious distortion like in that video. I don’t know that you have to buy expensive-ass cables for digital SPDIF… but I know that video is a little too reductive about the potential issues of jitter in the conclusion.

Isn’t that more commonly known as coax?

Yea, pretty much. “The signal is transmitted over either a coaxial cable with RCA connectors or a fiber optic cable with TOSLINK connectors”

I caved during my late night review secession.

Lets goooo lol, I wonder what you will think compared to the 2.5 pro?

I did my best with the Focus pads, but I really don’t like PU leather. I just wish there weren’t a thousand variations of pad mounts. I have a box full of pads, but no you need OUR pads!
