My apprentice brought me a Yamaha yp450 and about 70 albums for free. Had to rebuild the ac motor… First spin of iron maiden and I was hooked. Now hopefully I stop buying gear and focus on hunting for Vinyl when I’m bored.
I’m going back and forth between Amazon music and this turntable with the new catridge.
The Rega Carbon sounded good, but it was definitely a bit rolled off and it wasn’t as resolving… but it was at least more enjoyable and not as fatiguing.
I think this thing is kind of destroying the Enog 2 > Amazon Music HD… in terms of just pure resolve. Like i dunno, maybe it’s a different master or something else… Placebo/bias? I dunno… but it’s definitely a noticeable difference, doesn’t sound harsh, but damn so well extended and lush. oooooof.
I am going to turn into an analog fiend…
