Kinda how they feel, seal is extremely important. You need to get them pretty deep but also keep them centered properly, and with the wire that gets a bit harder too. Without proper fit they def don’t sound worth, but once you get it right, holy cow they are great
Those things scare me. I’d feel like I’m putting tennis shoe strings in my ears, lol.

There were some slight discounts. Focal had the clear at 1200 and the utopia at 3400, if I remember correctly. Out of everything I heard though I was most impressed by the heddphone that’s priced at around 2k

Planned on buying a Denon pma-600ne today (won a pair of Elac Debut Reference bookshelves), but it’s out of stock everywhere (including directly from Denon) and won’t be back in stock until around March 13th… 
My day has been ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable. I can’t really justify getting the 800ne for nearly $200 more (after taxes) either, honestly. I don’t have the speakers yet, so I guess I can wait a bit.
Weirdly FedEx delivered my Drop DT 177X. First impression? WTF did I buy, no the treble on these is not tamed at all! Treble is the preponderance of everything I hear! Ugh. Gonna have to break these in for like a week at high volume to see where the wind up.
If they don’t warm up quite a bit I think they’ll get a for sale ad PDQ. Man, all I wanted was a decent quality closed cans in the $350 dollar neighborhood.
I’ll report back in a week I guess.
Edit: on the other hand, the build on theme is SOLID! They are light and very comfortable. Sundaras wish they came with this kind of build quality.

Thang God I have no clue about tube amps. This could end badly.
Decided to run them with my Rega Elex-R for the time being. Added my 500watt 12" closed back subwoofer cut at 44hz with room DSP.
Maybe Accuphase E-270? Can’t afford a new amp at the moment anyway.
I need some BBCs for my office setup too.
