I’ve actually got those on it right now. Haven’t tried stock. Tried throwing on Nishio 2 by Lemaitre, as it has repeated highs strongly at about 8k (I believe) with some fainter notes around 14k. Holy hell are they sharp on these! Granted once the low end starts coming in, it’s not as bad, but particularly right at the beginning where it’s all that treble… FUCK! On another note… They really do make sure you KNOW that you’re listening to something that’s either compressed(like YouTube) or really poorly recorded.

Finally ordered another pair of Blon 03s. After bouncing around to a ton of different IEMs, I kept returning to modded 03s due to my personal fit, sound preference, and the price range. Snagged the purple versions because PURPLE<3LOVE and a gunmetal cable. Will filter mod them, but I’ll check their signature (as I know there’s variances) and decide which one of the two I have to alter with tape or cotton. I want one to be a touch brighter, the other to darker–probably the purple/gunmetal for darker.

Not completely new. I finally got my LCD 24 reviewed here to come home in the mail! That and FINALLY after a weird wire issue I have a Microzotl MZ2 that has been re-tubed with recommendations from the tube encyclopedia Hazi.
Tubes ordered are Sylvania V231 6SN7GT (NOS) with new production Mullar 12AT7.
The combination of Sagra → MZ2 → LCD 24 is just wow. Nothing peaky, shouty, resolves pretty well (better than I expected for a tube), great air. Just wow… and the MZ2 is a speaker amp which blew me away already.

First impressions: So. Much. Music. These are ear-opening, making me wonder where was all the sound when I was listening to other gear - not that I’ll be selling anything off anytime soon, but I feel that the Vérités offer a complete experience. They are exactly as advertised: accurate timbre, fast response. Much more enjoyment/experimenting to come with amp/cable/pad/genre combinations.
