MEST MkII for me. That’s end game bass–superb quantity and quality with bone conduction cranking the sensation to whole new levels. If you’re all about bass, I hear EE EVO deserves a listen as well (I haven’t tried it).
Backing up to bass for closed back headphones, I still like 1770s for absolute silly levels of bass. But of the models I mentioned, I like LIRIC plenty. At this point (after 1/2 day of listening), it’s the favorite for bass heavy electronica. VC is also good with that, but bass control is pretty fantastic on LIRIC, and that makes for an engaging listen.
I have owned most all of the Schiit devices here over the years…never had a shipping issue…but with the covid CRAP that has happened to the world in the past 24+months its been a nightmare for a lot of vendors. I had a Bryston BHA-1 amp on order since July…still NADA, no idea of when etc…
I had the Soekris 2541 on order for months…wait wait wait…finally after three months it became available.
I had to wait for a iFI amp for months as well…
I have had issues with Schiit stuff in the past, noisy pots, a fried Heresy but each time they took care of the issue for me ASAP, even including FREE shipping etc…
Not audio but just got this in. Smooth operations so far. Now I can show off my cat on the internet and in real life. A whole new level of crazy cat person. Yay.
Finally got fed up with the tint on my passenger side window being so rippled that I couldn’t read the numbers on the corner of a semi trailer that I removed it… To my dismay, it only lead me to learn just how bad my truck heats up in the Texas heat without it… Even I’m the shade… Whoever owned the truck before had removed the tint from the driver side window already. So, I went and got my driver side and passenger side tinted.
Went with the Johnson InsulatIR 35
QOA Vespers from someone.
Always loved how they looked, only recently began to consider that their tuning may reflect the YanYin Aladdins at a lower price. It’s an affordable gamble…
Again, it was only supposed to be a temporary solution, but as it turns out, I really like this thing! The connectors are nice and fit better than the stock ones. The cable is a nice braid and has a sort of grippy coating on it. It’s flexible and wears very well. Most importantly, it sounds great.
