C200
USB-C female to USB Micro male adapter.
I’ve already got several usb cables.
Gustard U18 USB bridge
BlueRigger Optical Cable
Topping E50
2-Dinso/Tinso Balanced TRS to twin RCA cables
2-Xduoo TA26
Dual TRS Male to Single TRS Female coupler
Beyerdynamic DT1990Pro
All on Amazon.
I’m going to attempt using 2 Xduoo TA26 running as dual mono, but utilizing the full tubes, both sides in each amp. I sold my house finally so Ive got some funds to goof off with.
Nice swag!
Shorter, non-microphonic cable for my Sivga, its meant for a Sennheiser HD700, but it having dual mono 2.5mm jacks, works just as well with the SV021.
New pads for my Fostex T60, Perforated Sheepskin and standard sheepskin
Way more bass and slam on the standard but i think i prefer the Perforated, better clarity and overall balance of the sound
P.S i live outside the US so getting ZMF or any other small brand pads is unreasonably expensive (30$+ in shipping not to mention taxes and other “surprise fees”)
Got two toys today: a new audio rack (my FOURTH try at this!!) And a used amp taken in on trade.
But I can’t start assembling anything yet 'cause…
But once he gets up…
Nice! I’m diggin’ that rack.
I’m gonna second that. I’d given zero thought to putting my gear on a rack, but I like that one enough to consider doing just that.
Nice this was a good find I bought on Amazon for my desk but I see price went up ?
Eutuxia Dual Monitor Stand with Black Tempered Glass. TV, Laptop, Computer, All-in-One Desktop & Printer Riser. Raise Your Eye-Level with Desk Organizer. [11.75 x 8.25 x 3.2", 2PK] https://a.co/d/gBZygl4
Started to assemble audio rack and work came to a sudden halt. Top shelf does not have threaded inserts. Grrrr.
Current unit will not accommodate the very large Rebel amp. Have to improvise in the morning.
I have had great luck with the build your own cheapie stuff over the years, so I guess I was due for a mistake.
That is a GIGANTIC step up.
DT1990PRO just delivered. No burn it, but they sound fantastic already. Listening to Ray Charles Modern Sounds…UHD on Amazon. Still just Bluetooth right now. I made the mistake of ordering a Topping E50 that is apparently coming all the way from China. The delivery window is October. A pair of Xduoo TA26 coming too. The TRS to dual RCA cables came with the 1990s today, along with a couple of Bluerigger optical cables & USB C to Micro USB adapters. The tiny adapters they shipped in a giant air bubble bag. I thought it was empty at first.
Good opportunity to modify to taste, at least!
I love the look of it. And Very affordable. It was on Amazon.ca for $185.00 (Canadian $'s). Then I found out that Fitueyes has a Canadian website and it is $160.00. When you land on their site, you can spin a wheel. I got a $20.00 discount!
So, I am down to $140.00.
Of course one shelf was defective. Hopefully they get a replacement out quick.
I think I’m going to order that tomorrow. Ive been wanting a Tannoy sub to match my Tannoy towers.
Ok I bought it. Should have it in a week, shipping from Upscale Audio in California. This is a vicious cycle of spending, but I better blow it all before it becomes completely worthless.
I ordered my A90 Discrete on Aug 31. They gave me a delivery estimate of Oct 7- Nov 2 (!!), but it arrived (from China) on Sep 4. I suspect they build in wide margins of error to underpromise and overdeliver, so you may be pleasantly surprised.
Personally very happy with mine sound great with most of my headphones, the only thing that bugs me is that you have to use the remote to switch between gain states, but i just keep it on high and lower the volume.
i think im pretty much done with linear solid state, now i just need a good tube amp
V2.3 of the firmware lets you change the gain without the remote. Should work if you’re already on that version or the latest 2.4 I haven’t tried changing the gain that way because it looks like a finger-twisting maneuver - I’d probably just turn it off or change the volume a lot. But hey, leaving it on high and adjusting the volume is a good solution too! From Topping’s FW V2.3 page:
What’s updated:
1, Added a new feature allowing 5 different volume curves to select, providing different ranges and steps.
Users can change volume curves by pressing “B” on the remote. The volume curves and the conversion
table is available here. When the curve is changed, the volume will be reset to -80dB.2, Added a procedure to alter the gain setting without using the remote. Users can change the gain to
high by pressing the volume knob and turning it clockwise by 2 steps in 1.5 seconds while the knob is pressed.
To change the gain to low, press the volume knob and turning it counterclockwise by 2 steps.
Pressing the knob for 1.5 seconds without turning turns off the device.3, Fixed incorrect fault code indication.
