Just tried it myself its actually easier than you think (but ill still keep at high gain since the noise floor is none existent as it is 
). Also the volume curve an awesome addition (i tried figuring out what those numbers mean but they werent in the manual so i left at 1)

No audio stuff today, just some new sneakers that I got since I do play ball with my friends and also the previous shoes that my uncle gave to me as a gift, began “talking” right now and I am sure some of you guys know that. Got the EP version as well for a more durable traction pattern since I play a lot of outdoors.

Just ordered 2 Geshelli J2. One with AKM & one with ESS chip set.
I will do a direct comparison.
I was looking at the Schiit headphone amp that has 10 tubes in it. Maybe later. I’ve got 2 Xduoo TA26 on the way.
Theyre here, but with my U18/E50 issues I haven’t need to get them out yet.

Sort of an IEM noob, but I’ve been wanting a little more than Apple earbuds or Quarks for when I’m traveling so, I picked these up to try out and get an idea of which way my sound preferences lean.

probably a bit more bass than I’d prefer but $20… maybe a couple Xinhs cables for my Senn IE900’s, Moondrop Illumination and a 4.4mm to 4.4mm to connect my dap to my desk setup

Hmm… I just went through a binge of buying things I needed, and since i have never posted in this thread before, I feel like I can post what I bought over the last few days and get away with it.
- But first, I have to get something off my chest… Dammit Zeos - All this audio equipment is your fault! ;D (thanks) No really, Thank You. I have been using an amp without enough power output on my Argon’s (yes I have plural Argon’s, they hug each other at night when no one is looking…) So i’ve been waiting for an ‘affordable’ Amp option for many years that could power them effectively. This new Amp appears to be ‘The One’.
First, The Topping A90 Discrete. Very recent purchase, has not arrived in the mail yet.
Then I went on a binge of catching up on Z Reviews videos, and found out that Ryan at Mod House Audio has come up with a new pad for my beloved Argons - so I had to buy those - in real sheepskin of course, if you want durability and comfort, put a dead animal on your head! (yes the picture is not the sheepskin model, There isn’t a picture from the side for that one, and I wanted to show how thick these boys are!)

Then I happened across a fancy new Viking Weave Berkano Cable that fits my Argon Mk3’s, and yes, this is Zeos’ fault too because he talked about the fancy new pads that got me here in the first place!
Finally I bumbled around the forums a bit, and I bumped into a new post from someone who has zero experience with fancy headphones. They wanted something basic to get started that didn’t require an amp, or anything special to run. So while I was typing up info for suggestions, I wrote up a rather extensive suggestion for the Meze 99 Noir (DROP) variety, which just so happens to be on sale right now for 180$. Since I needed to get a Christmas present for my older brothers anyway, I picked up a pair - But, I blame this one on Zeos too because I was on his forums when it happened!
Oh, and finally I needed a converter from 4.4 Pentaconn to 4 pin XLR for the new fancy cable I ordered, so after a bit of hunting for one at a reasonable price, I got one of those too.
All told, it was a pricey few days. Many of these purchases I had been putting off, and happening across an amp that would finally fit my needs kicked it all off.
Grand total spent … Ow. But it’s a good Ow. 
(Oh!~ and for the funzies, the Amplifier video that kicked it all off.)

I couldn’t resist. Having 2 Xduoo TA26 ordered, I decided to get a 2nd Singxer SA1. So when they arrive, I will attempt to run both as dual mono. I’ve got the cables already, so I think that the full output of the amps can be utilized, with the balanced output of whatever DAC I use; Topping E50, or Geshelli J2 AKM/ESS, feeding both RCA inputs of each amp.

Was Jonesing for some kind of new hifi experience. And ordered the 7HZ x Crinacle Sainotes Dioko with the new filters (I hope). They just arrived and I can tell I’m going to have to change to my usual foam tips soon already. I’ll try switching to some of the others that came with them first, but I rarely find normal tips will work for me. The seal won’t hold as deep in my ear canal as I need it to in my right ear for some reason. I need foam tips to be able to wedge them in tightly. Other than that first impressions are not bad at all.

Welcome to the rabbit hole of IEMs. Hope it gets to a point where you can stop because once you begin collecting IEMs, it is hard to stop and look for that bang for your buck IEM where you can just be overall satisfied, but let’s be real we never get satisfied in the end overall.

Just ordered Beyerdynamic DT880 600ohm & Beyerdynamic DT150 to supplement my DT1990Pro. I wonder how much difference there will be in sound quality/tuning & frequency signature?

Now I had to order pads and cable wow this hobby! My first real pair of headphons!
My Razor Opus THX were twice the price but hey they have BT and a case lol!
The Pads and cable were more than I paid for the 400i but if they are comfortable now and sound good I can’t wait till they come in.
Also have a Topping D90A arriving soon to drive them the P20 almost maxes out.
