What did you buy today? (Part 2)

Its now 512MB??? Thats honestly crazy I remember 2 months ago talking about how they decreased the amount of ram which was fine for the devices that the system is aimed toward but holy have they been getting away with robbery. Imma pray that my Miyoo Flip survives and that the new Miyoo flip hinge is a sucess.

Yeah its scummy and dealbreaking…

i just pulled the trigger on this though.

:joy:

Will see if i prefer it over the Trimui Brick, i havent touched my brick since I got my Retroid Pocket 6, hope it is more pocketable as the Brick while it can fit pockets, its a bit big and stands out a bit much imo.

Holy shit, what a beast this H20 Pro is when it comes to sound :exploding_head: :fire:
Comfortably beats Shanling M1 Plus for my taste
Imagine AP80 Pro Max on steroids and this is what you get, more powa, similar dynamic sound, better autorithy and a deeper sounding stage
Top notch build quality aswell, i am very impressed

I like the tuning of my TSMR Onyx, even though it’s not the most comfortable to wear for me since I am sensitive to non-vented shell designs. I made it work using the Tangzu Tang Sancai Balanced bore ear tips. Still, although I liked the tuning, it wasn’t impressing me that much…I just felt like there was something missing and that it had more to give.

Since rolling ear tips wasn’t an option, I started rolling a couple of cables that I had on hand. Granted, I didn’t have upper tier ones, just some that worked well with IEMs in the past. I still felt like the synergy wasn’t all that great, so I started doing some deep research along with a little theory crafting, reading what worked well for others to narrow down my options. I think I arrived on my first try…

I ended up getting the THIEAUDIO Midnix cable. It is a quality made cable that is just thicc enough without going overboard for my taste. The ear hooks are formed well and terminations feel secure. I let it settle in for about 48 hours before giving it a first listen. This was the missing link to my ears. The best way I can describe the improved change without over analyzing things is that it brought out the natural characteristics of the IEM which were (slightly) subdued with the stock cable. Needless to say, I am smitten with the synergy the cable provides for the TSMR Onyx and at an affordable price point of $59 (at the time of posting). I know there are cable non-believers out there, but in my case, I can honestly say that this addition made a perceivable difference in a positive way. :musical_notes:

Got an USB COB LED light strip to put behind my monitor, thought I screwed up by accidentally ordering 0.5m version instead of 1m or 2m but turns out this ended up being the perfect length both in terms of brightness (it is very bright and there is no built in brightness controller) and also since I can just leave it dangling off the back of the monitor so it is easy to replace without mess if it ends up dying on me like my previous light strip.

I got the warm white, 5V 2.7mm version at 0.5m.

I bought one of those IEC 911 microphone kits on Aliexpress.

The IEC 711 coupler works great. The C-Media USB sound card is a piece of crap. So I switched to using the Sound Blaster Audigy V2 sound card in my computer The calibration which I performed for the Audigy card shows a 1 dB variation from 20 Hz to 20 kHz whereas the C-Media card calibration is all over the place at the low end and the high end. I will perform my first IEM measurement in REW on Thursday.

Definitely curious about this, let us know how it goes. Im particularly curious if they improved the garbage tier mic that is so useless i have to switch over to my phone if someone calls me…(with the BT20XS)

I don’t use TWS for calls ever, can try testing if it sounds decent though.

biggest gripe is the touch control is in a dumb spot imo, half the time can’t find it and feels like a single hair over it blocks it from registering touch lol

yeah i was worried about the touch controls mostly, i wear a hoddie a lot when im on my bicycle when im out and that will probably not work well with touch controls…

I think I now have more sets of darts than IEM’s and Flatheads? no not quite but it’s getting close :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Me and Mrs Ohm went to our local dart store who have three boards set up so you can try before you buy :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: ended up with a set of 25g Target Japan Warriors pimped with L-Style shafts and flights…

Yeah its crazy, there´s so much to learn and take into consideration….only choosing the right arrows can be a pain in the ass in the beginning but i think i made a solid choice.
ofc they can also be customized colourwise which is important for fashionists like us!
